It's a what if scenario. Nothing is scheduled.
If the grid went down in Phoenix, or even most of Arizona, and I would also include some parts of California, Nevada, New Mexico during the summertime and extreme heat, many will die for sure. No AC and no water. These dessert cities would be a nightmare to live in if the grid went down.

As would much of the Deep South. BOL1 gets insufferably hot and humid in the summer sometimes. It's so hot during midday that farm workers have traditionally taken a siesta during the early afternoon hours, then worked late into the evening. It wasn't until air conditioned tractors that people worked outside all day in the heat. Few people actually lived there year round, they lived in the hills less than ten miles away in the summer. The name of our farm is "Winter Quarters."

A few years ago I listened to everything this man posted. It has been a while. I don't know why I stopped watching him.

I'd bet his property is much better developed than when I used to watch.

He talked about people owning firearms and not training with them. This was me when I bought my first handgun, 30+ years ago. I don't even think I had ammo for it. I certainly never fired it. BTW, that gun was stolen from my house by a young man, a friend of my daughters, even though I thought it was well hidden.

A good friend of mine, 78 years old, called me on Saturday. She has scoffed about people being prepared. I told her that I was learning to shoot and asked her what her thoughts were about it. Her husband and her have been talking about how crazy the world has gotten. She has just gotten a handgun and took a concealed carry class, but has yet to shoot her gun!!! Oh, if she were here, we would be going shooting! When they come to Colorado next summer, she wants to bring her handgun and go shooting then. I suggested that she try to find an Armed Women of America group near her, and to go shooting at least once a week.

Don't know what state your friend is from, but when I got my concealed carry in New Mexico, it was written, classwork, and shooting time. You have to show accurate shots at the shooting time with your instructor, and then you are only authorized to conceal the caliber of what you shot with or lower caliber. My concealed license says 45 cal, so I can conceal 45, 38, 357, 9, 22. I can't remember how many "misses" on shooting I could have, but it wasn't many.
