As would much of the Deep South. BOL1 gets insufferably hot and humid in the summer sometimes. It's so hot during midday that farm workers have traditionally taken a siesta during the early afternoon hours, then worked late into the evening. It wasn't until air conditioned tractors that people worked outside all day in the heat. Few people actually lived there year round, they lived in the hills less than ten miles away in the summer. The name of our farm is "Winter Quarters."If the grid went down in Phoenix, or even most of Arizona, and I would also include some parts of California, Nevada, New Mexico during the summertime and extreme heat, many will die for sure. No AC and no water. These dessert cities would be a nightmare to live in if the grid went down.
