I used to run into and talk with Jerry's daughter often when I was on the force. She would stop in at a popular Italian restaurant in town (Graziano's) on her way down the shore.

Last I talked with her, (about 4 or 5 years ago) Jerry was still alive and kickin, which was good to know!

Got done a little early today, as I'm still helping my buddy renovate his home that he's going to flip when we are done.

Poured and finished a concrete patio and walkway this morning. Whew-we, pouring concrete is some hard a$$ work!

10 years as of this past April Grand...!!!

{ I retired @ 53.5 years of age...AND they threw $25K at anyone with time in grade + over 30 years of service to get out and make room for contractors whose pensions and medical were on the contract provider... not the Govt. }

Good for you my friend. You beat me by 2.5 years, as I was 55 when I left the force. Then I did 3 years with DHS and decided I couldn't take no more! It was a great ride but, I had had enough!

Going on 5 years now with just my pension Woo-Hoo!

BTW, I hope your not affected by that water issue in Horsham Twp?

No sir...Horsham is NOT connected to our local supply reservoir...they have a different well water table source.

It was their disinfection system at a township well that stopped working Thursday night May 31st...

Then they issued a boil water safety notice that was rescinded today June 2nd @ 3pm.


Thanks for caring Dutch, but we are fine here in the Glen.

'Afternoon Dutch...

Just getting back home from rescuing my daughter and her fiance'...as his "hybrid" car battery finally failed while they were out to lunch.

Seems Hybrids...or at least his Toyota...have two batteries...one in front...one in back. Back one died.

She / We have AAA...so it was towed to a Toyota dealership near me...and I picked them up and took them back home to Newtown...stayed a bit...then drove back.

Just startin' to spit rain again...wonderful !!

Glad everything turned out OK buddy.

Newtown area is part of my old stomping grounds. When we moved from West Oak Lane, my parents brought a home in Washington's Crossing, Pa., not far from Newtown.

Very nice and beautiful, that Newtown Square area!
