Look behind you in that dark corner.
In an iron skillet, melt butter and lightly fry a crushed and minced clove of garlic.
Dust with black and red pepper, add a bit of diced onion, and caramelize the lot.
Slice a 3/4" hunk of cabbage head and lay it in the grease. Fry for 5 minutes, flip, and top with Velveeta.
cover until the cheese melts and serve.

I just made fried cabbage three nights ago. I cut it into thin strips, heat up a large frying pan with barely enough oil to cover the bottom (maybe a tablespoon?), and then heat the cabbage over medium heat, mixing frequently, just until it turns bright green and wilts. Do not overcook - it only takes a few minutes. The only seasoning I use is some salt mixed in about halfway through cooking.

Here is a picture from a different thread of what it looks like:

I do a similar dish where I fry cabbage, onion, and polish sausage slices. At the end I add sour cream and a dollop of mustard. Before you ask, I like it.

I fry cabbage sometimes, like it, good eats. I pass on the cheese though.

This braised cabbage is good but I've also done it as fried cabbage, just leave off the juice and cook it quickly. Cabbage and apples go good together.
