And a good riddance to '24.

We saw a few fireworks, our house in on a ridge about 250 feet above town, so I see everything going on in my kingdom. Someone down on the flat below our HOA, about 1/4 mi away lit off a big mortar at 9 pm - the starburst was even with our windows. I thought "we're in for it..." but it was the only one, I guess they watched the ball drop in NYC, shot their only firework, and went to bed.

We slept with the window open.

"It ain't over until we say it's over!!":waiting:...
The tightwads around me are setting off the "75%-off" stuff they scored, tonight. :p
It is still 'New Years', today. :)

Our dog needed a break from that, haven’t heard anything today or this evening yet. She’s been resting hard and able to go out. I did take her outside last night early on and she seemed to be happy about it, sometimes. We’ll have to move up where the @Amish Heart lives and she’ll live the rest of her days in peace. Even the cat was starting to act weird last night.

How could you tell... ?? It's a cat....

They set off several fireworks at the park by city hall last night, but other than that it was quiet here.. To likely contribute to that it was near 0F last night..
