Think about the Freedom Convoy rolling across America. If the pressure slowly or rapidly builds, at what point do "YOU" personally go to code Orange or RED.......???

Think about if you were a 50-year resident in the Ukraine, you have had five weeks or more of constant information thrusted at you. At what point would you personally have gone to code orange or RED.....???

Interesting there is very little response to this thread. So, people in Ukraine had what six or eight weeks of warning. America pulled all their people; Russia pulled all their people.

And when the shelling started, it is bumper to bumper, hauling arse out of town. I have a "gut" feeling it is the same for humans everywhere. When your country is surrounded on slightly more than (3) Three sides, by Russian troops, and Russia orders everyone to abandon the Russian Embassy. Exactly how many "clues" do people need......there is some or substantial probability of Super SHTF.

I think it started 2 years ago and is slowly dragging out. People are so apathetic and asleep to what is going on.

Can't get fuel, food or there's rationing or anything worse than that? Going to red.

For our group the code red where we would join forces is when comms go down. No long distance phone and no internet is our go signal. At that point we would not be able to talk to each other so everyone would just follow the plan.
With comms operational we could talk and see/hear what is going on and decide to go or not.

Hell.........I am at code orange, simply because my Grizzly Bears have awoken super early this year. Currently 48* above and partly sunny. The ten-day forecast is low to mid 40's. That is very uncommon for end of February, south central Alaska.

Basically it puts us at the basic state of readiness, make sure gear is GTG, preps in order, fuel on reserve etc. From there we go orange, then red.

When everything is cool, our patch is green.

When I can't buy anything.

When I must shoot a deer or other game to eat.

When I can't go anywhere.

When I must start using my stored preps.

When I have to load and prepare many more firearms than normal.

When I have to start shooting to protect me and mine daily.

Am I prepared to do all of above ? Hope I never have to , but yep, I'm as ready as I can be.

Normalcy bias

A tendency in most people to believe that everything is or will return to normal.

The other day the power went out in the middle of the night but there was no bad weather. My first thought was " Did a cyber attack take down the grid?" I looked out the window to see if all power was out. Lights in the far distance.

Normal local outage. Notified the power company and went back to bed.

Now if all power went out, and the sound of the world went silent. Not normal.

The Princess came home today and was ranting "$3 for a friggin head of lettuce!" Not normal to hear her using the word "friggin". She will be shifting my efforts toward growing more of own food again AND wants me to do the greenhouse conversion.

Definitely NOT normal.

White- asleep or oblivious to what is going on. People wandering around with their face stuck to their phone are in condition white.

Yellow- Alert of your surroundings but not concerned. Prepared to up the alert level in a heartbeat. This is how I try to live my life.

Orange- elevated alertness due to some perceived danger.

Red- The danger is present and you are acting. In some rating systems this is the top level.

Black- You are under fire or are nearly so.

When a gubernut puts out that everyone should rat out anti gubernut posts seen on the internet.
When your countries flag is now a symbol of wrong speak. When inflation is going up on a daily basis.
When they are taking over the kids.
When it's a *** or nothing else. Yes that is still reality for a lot of us.

When peaceful protesters are now in self made refugee camps on farms because they can't get home; vehicles impounded, can't take public transportation, no ID (left in impounded vehicles) no money and anyone who helps them will get the same treatment.

The list goes on and it's coming to a town near you. What crap do you think they will pull down there with the the Ukraine mess in full swing as an extra excuse.

How will I know when the SHTF?
Since I don't watch TV at all, and we live past the end of the pavement six miles outside a one stop light town, I guess losing electricity and the internet may be a sign.
I check headlines on major news sites several times a day to see if we are at war yet.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go out and collect eggs from the ladies.
