Not really worried about it. We have enough non perishable foods that if every grocery store closed tomorrow we wouldn’t have to worry about that for years. Yes, with an “s”.
Not worried about vast zombie hordes abandoning the Big City, they would either die before they got this far, and the remainder would have to be very lost.

The North Vietnamese Army couldn’t kill me, I’m not worried about untrained out of shape Americans.

Oh, our ladies gave us 15 eggs between yesterday and today. Not too bad considering over half of them are age 6 and more. Treat your hens right and they’ll treat you right.

Now that the US and EU are shutting down his cash flow I would not be surprised if Putin turns loose his black hats on the American networks. So my thinking is if the NET goes down and the power goes out the SHHTF, the extra h is for HAS.... Once that happens we will have to make due with what we have.

Post (end of) WWII was the last time this country was in the black. Had a brief period of "good" times shortly thereafter. Hippy era began the decline. (my opinion only)

I know someone in cyber security and they are already working around the clock blocking hacks and viruses. Big uptick in the past few weeks.

Think about if you were a 50-year resident in the Ukraine, you have had five weeks or more of constant information thrusted at you. At what point would you personally have gone to code orange or RED.....???

I really had to think about this long and hard. First question, are you going to abandon most of your worldly possessions, all of the things you hold dear? Second question, where are you going to go? You're probably not taking a tractor trailer. You are in a car, maybe tailgating two cars, three tops. Third question, how far do you have to go?

It is tragic to see the massive traffic jams trying to get out of the Ukraine. I can't say that I wouldn't be stuck in the quagmire. I kind of feel like my home will be my Alamo. I would leave given a pending flood or fire, and truthfully, I didn't even leave with a pending flood (there is a sidebar to that story). I don't see many Americans leaving the country. Where would it be safe? Abandoning your home would have to be one of the toughest decisions in your life.

How will I know? I've been on orange since I left to live in the woods. the only reason I came back was my elders might have needed me because of the riots. I'm looking at maybe two months of supplies at any given moment. its hard to stay prepped these days. I guess I'll know that I know when everyone is crammed into the Winnebago and headed to the wood dump.

The younger generation has been neglected and deprived of basic survival skills, so they're of the same mentality that 'if I close my eyes, it'll go away'. They know they can't survive without the society.

I'm going to be 30 this year. I'm of the millennial generation; is that young? I still feel young, so I'm throwing myself in the category of the younger generation. But ever since 9/11 I've been on alert. I have zero friends because no one was willing to discuss end-of-days and SHTF scenarios. Back in 2010 when my coworker was talking about The Walking Dead, I was talking about FEMA camps and hyperinflation. Needless to say, such conversations don't really ingratiate yourself with your peers. :-/

For me, a SHTF scenario is when basic necessities are gone and the ability to survive is at risk, so:

- Hyperinflation
- Roving Black Outs / Complete Power Outages
- Running Water Stops
- Empty Stores Shelves
- Mass Home Foreclosures -> Mass Homelessness
- Domestic Warfare

As Gerald Celente says, "When you have nothing left to lose, you lose it."

All generations are equipped with sleepers and sheeple, being ahead of the curve is what helps the awakened (as opposed to woke) survive, being well ahead of that curve helps one thrive. some times it is best not to let too many people know that you are an independent thinker so that you can just slip through the cracks, As to biblical prophecy there are a lot of places experiencing revelation 13:16 right now, the NWO is the antichrist although the single representative hasn't popped up. the fan is spreading $hit right now.

Since the title is asking re. SHTF, I'll use that. I've not made a real comment on this thread but have been reading along and pondering. If the were to hit the proverbial fan, you would not find it piled up in a neat little heap as is the norm. As it hit, small pieces of it would be shot in every direction creating a million ugly little spots everywhere! Currently, we don't just have a mess in one sector of industry, conflict in one sector of the world or country, disturbances in one link of the supply chain, and the list could go on and on, but y'all are smart so I'll stop. The thing is we have conflict not only between countries but within our own country, in every county, town, community, group, and even families. There is disturbance with every link in the chain, every sector of industry. Every level of every topic from the largest to the most minute is faltering. I would say we are seeing it in action and after such a happening there can only be an enormous amount of work in cleaning up and dealing with a lot of unpleasant "stuff."

To many of us, you are very young. But that is perfectly O.K. It gives you advantages we no longer have, and we would be very much interested in hearing your perspective. Just last week we were discussing how many of us feel that prepping is a lifestyle. We may have started for one reason or another, but we have been doing it for so long we don't even think about it. We just do it. For us it has become a way of life.

All of the things you listed are very legitimate reasons to know that SHTF, and you have not even touched on any of the natural causes. One of the things I have learned over the years is that life can go completely sideways in a heartbeat. You can go from a perfect world to TEOTWAWKI in the blink of an eye. Why would you not be prepared as best you can? It is common sense. You don't need any other reason. Look at the people trying to escape the Ukraine. Look at the people who have been forced to evacuate due to wildfires or floods. They don't have much more than the clothes on their back. As much as we feel sorry for them, we don't want to be one of those people. Doesn't mean it can't happen to us, but we will be way ahead when S does HTF.

It has been coming together all of my life and I am 64. When The Princess and I wed I told her if were blessed with a son his name would be "Mahershalalhashbaz" ( see isaiah chapter 8).

It's definitely a way of life for me. We live on a farm--no more cows, unfortunately, but we have chickens. My paternal grandfather told my dad to always have a garden, always have a wood stove because another Great Depression will come. So we've always had a garden; we've always canned; dehydrated; cut our own wood. My maternal grandfather would tell my mother that she would see America fall in her lifetime. He was a 33rd Degree Mason and I think he knew stuff, because things he warned my mother about are coming to pass. He also made a big deal about the Habsburg family. And he'd help the Amish all the time and tell me how I needed to live like the Amish because those ways were coming back. Lol. So, I've tried to be as self-sufficient as possible.

@Magus - However long it takes, at least we know Christ wins in the end.

@Neb - My dad is 62. He's been hearing this since he was 12. It's nice have a dad who has 50 years experience in this lifestyle. I'd be in a predicament if I was starting this journey out all by my self.

Magus,there have been a couple of major changes, deeply victorious battles in the unseen, you might want to check with whom ever you check with about the 26 year thing, NO one even remotely saw this victory coming, or even realized what it was until it was over. Not saying that what was predicted or believed was wrong, just that $hit has changed in major ways.
