After walking around the zoo today and taking Bear for a walk this evening, my leg did swell some and it hurts again! Maybe overdid it a little!!

The mojave green rattlesnakes in the high deserts of Central California are the same way. My buddies and I would have to get drunk before we went after them.

Funny, many years ago i flew to bama after surgery, lived in ca. First day, local small town paper... Front page, Billy x and friend got bitten repeatedly by a rattlesnake early thursday morning...

Which is code for... they were still up drinking when they went snake hunting...

All i could think was... I'm home!

Quick update, will be a week tomorrow. The fang marks look good, were oozy a couple of days ago. Some pain on and off. Had nausea, headache, and dizziness on and off all week. Didn't really slow me down from doing anything, but definitely didn't let me forget it happened!!

Not 100%, still lets me know it's there! The area around the fang marks is still very tender and that leg and foot hurt on and off! It's just been a week and a half! Thank you for asking!!

Three week update! Leg had some swelling Thursday, the fang marks are still touchy, but not as obvious. That foot has been broken twice and always has issues, but more so since the bite! Don't know why it would affect that?!

I'm glad you're getting better. Is it time to have an x-ray done on your foot? I know certain types of snake venoms can deteriorate your muscles, so I wonder if it's doing that to your bones.

Nah, just a couple of really bad breaks on that foot. Always suspected nerve damage, think that's what the bite may have affected?!

One of the guys I watched on YouTube had a small wiener dog bit by a copperhead.
The dogs face swelled up a little. He did not take it to the vet but it got better.
We don't have many venomous snakes or bugs around here and I'm glad.
