I have a rapidly building fear for Donald Trump & Cabinet members.

I'm not worried. I think it was a lot worse in his first terms, as it was viewed as 'illegitimate'

All my friends are Trump haters, last time they seemed angry, energized....this time they seem broken, hopeless. Most are just giving up, taking the buy out offer and retiring, etc. Several have just killed themselves, although no 1:1 link on the cause. Just something I'm seeing a lot of. My mother tells me just about everyday how she would rather kill herself than let trump kill her...I keep trying to explain that she is retired, white, in a red state, and doesn't have to worry about that, but she doesn't believe me. It's driving me nuts.

If there is a danger, its going to be 'brain drain' as they all fall out of public life and stop working, spending, etc.

I don't think any are going to move to another country, but they are internally seceding from this one and staying in place.

Between all the people who did that during covid, and this....I think its going to be like losing a huge chunk of our experienced work force, there have to be some consequences from half the population of the country thinking their life is over.

I just hope Musk wears a Kevlar vest under that t-shirt, because he has quickly become target #1.

He does. He's been wearing one under his shirt since mid-summer, a few months before the election. Trump wears one all the time too but with his suit jackets or coat on his isn't as conspicuous looking as Musk's looks under his T-shirts. Musk's makes him look badly bloated or pregnant.

there seems to be a pathalogical hatred of Trump, not just because their side lost, its more than that, its almost some kind of mental disorder.

People either hate Trump or they Love him, there is no middle ground. Many don't like the man (he can be course and unsettling), but they think he is what is needed to get the job done at this time. People placed him in office to do a job and that is what he is doing. He has 2 years to get the job done because he has offended enough people that he will lose the House and the Senate in 2026 which will sideline him by 2027. (Congress - the House and Senate control the money, and that's where the power is)

On the other hand, Musk is a junkyard dog who has been let off his leash in the Executive Branch of Government and it is pretty much biting all the staff in the A$$. If Musk does not get a blanket pardon, when this is over he will spend time in government housing.

The good thing for Trump is at least now his security detail is working for him. You couldn't pay me to take that job in this environment.
