Howard & 'The Juice!' And who is that to the left, Bruce Jenner? Ugh... at least Howard never lived to see the BS, or did he? I can't recall when he died... in fact, he may still be on the Democratic Party rolls as a "live" voter, lol. ;)

Yep. Even "assisted suicide" is iffy.
I am not saying I fully support the idea but as a Police Officer I responded to far too many suicides of terminal and/or old folks who were done with the pain and problems. One time a Detective, who responded for a sketchy self inflicted situation, made a comment to me and the coroner that a gentle "warning" to the patient to not take too much pain medicine or it would be fatal would make such a situation far less messy and gruesome for the family and loved ones.
I have said it many times, if I ever get the bad news when the time comes I will go "camping" on top of a cold mountain with a light weight blanket and a bottle or two of my favorite rum or bourbon. Problem solved by morning.

This is the "jokes and humor" thread, but I will yank it off topic for a second...
And to answer this: not with the hospice we have down here.
There is a time and place where this is the most humane thing to do.
If I knew I was facing horrible suffering for months, with no hope to recover, or it could end in 3 days, which would you pick?
They have the technology today to keep someone alive and suffering on 'life-support' for months:mad:. This bleeds hundreds of thousands of dollars out of all relatives.
Hospice ended my 2 brothers suffering, and my moms.

I consider it iffy, not unacceptable. My eldest niece bailed out when it was clear that she was following her mother into Alzheimer's. She entered a facility where she could be cared for while she ended her life in peaceful dignity, refusing food and drink. She was a strong-willed woman, she wanted to die strong-willed. She was a nurse, who earned her RN while serving in Vietnam. I respect her memory.
