Ya at 500,000 plus -per condo, plus maintenance fees hardly for the average prepper. I read this a couple of weeks ago from the WSJ, this was taken from that article;
"Trident will offer more than protection from doomsday fallout. Well known celebrities and professional athletes have expressed an interest because of the privacy and security it will offer"
So I'm quite certain I would get laughed out of the office

sorry I'm not interested,,,,if the SHTF I would prefer for the money it would cost to build large bunker and go it alone,even in a place such as that people will get crazy and I want no part of that
Chaps you are totally missing the point, I'm not trying to sell you expensive super bunkers etc, what I am trying to do is highlight the fact that the RICH, The POWERFUL, the INFORMED, The INFLUENTIAL right across the whole world are building of buying Bunkers, Redoubts, Islands, Gated Communities, Iceberg Homes, Off Grid Remote Homesteads, Small holdings etc. So chaps ask yourselves this if the elite are getting ready to hunker down WHY ?
Whatever the truth is, it's up to them how they choose to spend their money, I don't think it matters why. If there is a reason I cannot do anything about it or influence it in any way. That being the case, I cannot see the point in worrying about it either, maybe they do know something, maybe not.
Even f I did have that sort of cash, I wouldn't risk putting my wellbeing in someone elses' hands. People are people after all and only as loyal as long as they see a benefit to them.
I view those types of places as prisons in the making. as I pointed out earlier, you are handing your protection and wellbeing to a private company, that company could fail, you have no say on who they employ and you are totally at their mercy. No thanks, I would rather take my chances with the great unwashed.

but the questuion WHY is important,once we figure that question it might provide us some essential time to get the hell out of harms way.
right now all the attention has gone into the election,no one is questioning,wondering WHY they build something like that.

No your right, I think many of us have been wondering and saying this for quite some time, this really picked up steam in 2012, instead of asking what do they know?, it should be what are the elites planning to do?
Sal I think WHY is important, it gives us an edge, EG if we knew or believed all of the rich and powerful were quietly leaving say london or the south east but the media were saying nothing or assuring the masses they should stay put, we would have the advantage over the masses if we decided to take a precautionary step of bugging out for a few days. if nothing happen then nothing is lost, but if TSHTF the rich will be gone, so will WE and we wont be trying to get out with millions of unprepped refugees.

Not that many years ago in the US and UK if one was one of the In Crowd the Glitterati or the establishment one absolutely had to have a Chelsea/ Westminster or Manhatton / LA address. one would not be seen in anything less than an Audi sport, BMW M5, Mercedes SLK and where nothing buy Guccis and Armani clothing.
These days one must have a place in Surrey / Hampshire Nantucket / Hyannisport off grid, of course in a secure compound with private security as well as cops, one must drive a Mercedes Geland, Toyota Landcruiser Amazon or Range Rover Vogue SE 4x4s. Clothing must be Barbour, TAD etc
Those people like all the rich and powerful over the years are very well informed, in the know, forewarned and full of self presevation.

Even some of the "rich" follow whatever's trendy. They may not have any more insight in to what may or may not happen than the rest of us. If this is their way of prepping, then good for them. Btw, 500k for a condo isn't that much anymore. Personally I'd put the money in land myself. Much better investment plus it's something that's tangible.
Your Right about those types of bunkers Sal but those same folks are building or buying Rural off grid homsteads, Small Holdings, buying Victorian homes with huge walled gardens with built in raised beds, fruit trees, pig stys , coal lockers, workshops, cellars etc, others are forming off grid self sufficient communes in places like Wales, Eire and New Mexico. Them buggers know something is up and are being proactive like we are on a much more modest scale

Doen't matter whether it's the wealthy or the ordinary family down the road, if they are making afforts to prepare, well good on them. The only difference I see between me, you and these folks, is they can afford to do things on a grand scale, whereas we have to do what we can with what we have.
All it seems to me is there are enlightened in every walk of life, it doesn't have to mean anything shifty is going on. But I'm a glass half full type.

They are richer than us, but more importantly they are better connected than us, often through the old school tie network. often they hear through their own social networks that Celeb A, Billiionaire B, Politician C is buying of building redoubts. I have a load of links to articles on their schemes if you are interested.
