Once again, why do any companies leave their sensitive software open to the internet? If they want to access their facebook account or check email, why not have a dedicated computer for those public/sales/ functions which is totally divorced from essential functions of the company?

Honestly I just never know anymore. . . 🤣. I told Hunny that I think our government is now trying to make me crazy. . .

I have said the same. All of the division and anger they are pushing, while simultaneously locking people down so it's all they see, without being around others to vent and discuss... So many weapons

“You do realize that the Biden administration told companies that they are going to have to protect themselves. . . They are doing nothing!”

I don’t think our government is capable of doing much to protect us. I don’t expect any real help from the government, ever. That way I’m never disappointed. On the occasional times when they actually do come through it’s a pleasant surprise, nothing more. With crypto currencies, mostly Bitcoin, being untraceable there is no way to track the money. At least in the old days the ransom could sometimes be traced. This will not be an easy thing to fix. I expect a ban on cryptocurrency will be coming before too long.

Honestly, I think you are great too. I do feel you are reading way too many things from what I like to call **** stirrers. There are many people that pump out articles with either no truth or just a tiny fraction of it and all they are trying to do is generate controversy and ratings for their personal gain. I think the occasional glass of wine helps keep life in perspective and keeps one more focused on what’s real and important in life. Family and friends should garner much more focus than all the political and conspiracy theories out there. My son gets overly impassioned about these things too. I guess I’ve come to the realization in life that I can’t control or fix all the things going on out there and I try to focus on the important things directly around me to make my life better.

I head a cybersecurity expert say the same about controlling/regulating Bitcoin.
I keep wondering about Fakebook coming up with their own (IIRC, Apple was considering their own currency).
And I keep hearing RUMINT about a government currency.

Jen Psaki blamed the private sector for getting hacked and told Fox News reporter Peter Doocy to ‘track down the Russian hackers and have a good chat with them.’

It is the way MSM was pushing the narrative, as if the Biden Admin was actually doing something.

Interconnections of the supply chain.
By having various databases communicating with each other, the system can keep up with the volume of supplies needed to get the end product to market.
Everything from hog casings, to salt, to spices, to labor, cost of feed etc.
Not cost effective or efficient to have independent systems, and someone have to connect the dots inbetween the air gaps.

Missed this yesterday, but Beck is talking about in now

We're taking a load of cattle to the auction next Friday. Will have a couple more loads to send around the end of August, if the grass holds out.
I know the dairy farmers have been barely profitable for a while now. I’m really distressed to hear about beef cattle fairing the same now. When regular farmers can’t make a profit it is a really bad sign for the future food supply for the masses.

looks like the govt was doing something all along.
If our govt was capable of designing the stuxnet program to take out the Iranian centerfruiges then maybe we do have a chance of combating this threat. Stuxnet, although never admitted by the US, was the most sophisticated successful hack program ever invented, by far.

Most dairy farmers receive government welfare in the name of price supports. In theory this helps the dairyman make a profit while keeping prices down for the consumers, all at the tax payers expense.
I'd like to see the family farm/ranch/homestead make a comeback in this country. One main problem preventing this from happening is nobody wants to work this hard anymore, and the trend for small families, there isn't enough help.

Relying on large corporations for our food is really unwise. There are too many things that can disrupt the supply to the masses. Local food, food that isn’t shipped across the country and is fresh, also supporting the local economy is way more secure. We have recently seen how a ransom ware can stop the trucks and shut down large companies in the blink of an eye. I admit I shop at Wally World more than I should but I do support local companies as much as I can.
it is true that the current population dosent want to work hard. They all want to get rich with crypto currency or being a social media star. We could grow easily with our business but finding workers is near impossible. The ones that do apply want top pay and only want to supervise, not actually do the work. I’m afraid there is going to be a rude awakening for this generation before too long.

Well said.
We know a guy who my wife tired to get a job with her company. Sure, he has his MBA, but no experience. He could of taken a job she offered for about $58k (that is decent money around here).
Nope! He wanted six figures, middle management position.

I think the current population doesn't want to work because they are getting endless unemployment and a state bonus on top of that, not because they're buying bitcoin.

I think it is a myriad of reasons.
Growing up, I got a job while in Jr. High, by my own volition.
The ex-wife and I agreed that our daughter should get a part time job while in high school.
Did she complain? Yes.
But also taught her the value of money, work ethic, professionalism and more.

There are a number of other factors out there too, easy money always attracts people.
When my greatgrand parents came to this country (legally), taking a hand out from the government was viewed as beneath them, even though they were poor, they still had their pride.

Bitcoin and stocks at the moment are not easy money.
It had an unprecedented run for quite a while and many did get rich, but lately it sure has taken a hit. I’ve felt all along it was just a ponzie scheme and too risky for me, but I have to admit I wish I had gotten in early. I remember when it was a dollar a coin. Even with the recent drop it’s about 32k right now.....

It’s unbelievable...the state and federal governments are paying people NOT to work.

Remember the ransom paid for the pipeline thing? It was bitcoin, and the Feds tracked it and got it back. So there goes the anonymous aspect of it.
The feds can shut it down and poof. It's gone.
China has already shut it down. The fact the feds could trace a wallet and take its contents is why it dropped 8% in a day. It’s clandestine anonyminity was one of its benefits, to criminals at least. I believe there will be a crypto currency eventually that is worldwide and government accepted, but Bitcoin won’t be it yet.

I havent bought supermarket meat for years, we buy all our meat locally straight from the farm, its all good quality and nothing like the rubbish they sell in the supermarkets.
