I don’t believe there is a one size fits all here. Each bag should be tailored to fit your own likes, skills and needs as well as considering the area and temperature of where you are. Of course the basics come first, water food shelter and security. Everything else is gravy.

There's a bit of redundancy, but if your willing to carry it. I know you plan on looking good and keeping your teeth clean.
I can see the redundancy now that I have catologed everything. I plan to revise it and go over it with a closer look. But it's a rough start but it seems like I would be kinda prepared in my opinion.

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. :USA:

If someone's shooting I will shoot back and around here we ain't got no big enough trees to damage it. I live on a walnut farm and my closest neighbor is about .5 miles away

Dang, if you're bugging out from THERE, where the heck are you going? But I just generally don't consider it wise to RELY on powered transportation post-shtf due to the many variables involved.

Regardless, your BOB seems pretty well-stocked, though as others have mentioned it has quite a few redundancies. Once those are worked out it should be more manageable.

welcome from the UK.
your supplies need to be tailored to your location and your own specific needs.
the trouble with relying on motor transport for bugging out is that at some point you could end up walking either through mechanical problems, running out of fuel or blocked roads, you need to be able to carry your BOB or else you'll be leaving half of it behind.

@BACoN1979 Looks good. I agree with the comments about the redundancies. My aim is to have 1 bag that carries all the main items and then a small detachable section. The smaller detachable pouch holds extra core essentials and can be used for mini excursions and emergency situations where I don't want to carry all the extra weight.

As long as it isn't overstuffed, I experimented with packing and it turned into a terrain Vs age and gone in some detail over the results (failures) that I posted, I had to swallow a lot of pride! I hike, climb, repel and took my ability for granted (past ability) the one thing I didn't take into account was my age, it was my age that showed my limitations not my fitness being good, the age was the limiting equation to endurance. Always pack items that can be used for duel purpose, always test the fully loaded pack on uneven terrain with obstacles otherwise you'll be opening yourself up to failure be it your pack, yourself or both. Find out what you can physically carry for 5 hours on uneven terrain before shopping for supplies to put into the bag then order/purchase accordingly to what you can carry otherwise you may have a lot of cool stuff you can't take with you.... Don't be me ;)
