I'd be afraid of what they'd find with me.

I had a tooth abscess a few years back and didn't know it for a week or so. My dentist said that 'when you get older your nerves don't pick up pain like they used to'. I told him I'd use that to my advantage....

Yep, had one of those not too long ago. So when the results came back, the doc told me what I already knew. Something wrong with the nerves in my legs. No reason why given, just put me on gabapentin, which doesn't really seem to do anything. I've had weird neurological problems for over 45 years, had all kinds of tests, and they have never been able to tell me what's going on.

that pill is nasty,my bro had those too and I kept wondering why he seems to be a drooling zombie one weekend, despite not a doc took those pills from him as they did not help the pains in any way, just made him a zeke, later told me he doeasn't miss 'em a bit..

Hell doc, it's hard to find a mechanic to diagnose an issue with your car correctly. Just think how much more complex the human body is. When I first went into being a surgical assistant I was suprised that we remove things a lot more than repair them. Your body is pretty tough and learns to survive without them. Medicine is advancing quickly, and we are way ahead of even 50 yrs ago, but we are still in its infancy and it will be a long time before we develope tools to accurately diagnose complex issues.
