Hate to get off on the wrong foot here but an hour after I signed up I got hit with 2047 spam , yes 2047 . Any one else have this problem ?

I have not had any problems. Look into your firewall. You don’t have to join anything to get spam. All you need do is go to a site or simply be hooked up to the internet.

You need to block the spam and never ever open them.

Because we were poor when I was a kid we had to eat to eat SPAM and Hamburger Helper on a constant basis. I can’t stand the sight, smell or taste of either of those man made abominations.

Back in the 50's I had to live with my grandparents for a time (they never stopped living the depression ) so you can imagine some of the stuff I had to eat

Spam I can deal with, the spam blocker gets most of them now. But those @#$%^& robocalls! I swear if I knew where those %^&* live and I could afford it, I would hire a team of mercenaries to take them out with extreme prejudice and put the video on YouTube as a warning!

I don’t open any emails that I don’t recognize but never considered that unsubscribing form something could be the same as opening it.

I run a business so kind of have to answer the phone from numbers I don’t recognize. I’m with you on being sick of robocalls. I get an average of 4 a day at least.

ROBO calls---I don't answer locals until I hear their voice on a message . Robos now use local numbers . Actually I've been thinking about having my phone taken out , I don't use it very often

I’m almost with you on getting rid of the phone but it’s such a great tool that I’ve become pretty attached to it now. It’s everything from gps directions, dictionary/encyclopedia, flashlight, compass, calculator, and about a million other good uses. being able to make a phone call is just a side gig.

As far as "potted meats" go, I always found Deviled Ham to be a lot more palatable then Spam, even as a kid.
