New neighbors

Update! The squatters got moved out! They left during the day on Sunday, single guy called the realtor and the property owner ( the wife, not her soon to be ex)! Property owner had friends come and haul their stuff out , and lock the gate. The realtor sent a locksmith, locks are changed! Seems the property owner ex husband was friends with the squatters, not the wife! There's a contract on the place for real now!

I am guessing squatting works better in Cali than Texas.

This is a good one...... I'm leaving for work this morning and single guy next door stops. He built a little apartment in his shop in case he wants to stay there, he did last night. He said his dog went crazy about 2 am and then got a loud knock on the walk in shop door. He looked out the window and saw two ambulances, so he opened the door! They were asking him if he could breathe, was he light headed, etc.! He said he looked at them dumbfounded and asked what was going on ! They asked if he called 911? Nope! Just then they could see a flashlight waving down the end of the road! The place is for sale, no one lives there, squatters were removed, place has a contract on it! So the ambulances went down there. An EMT with the fire department came to single guy's, he sent them down the road, but asked what was going on! The people who are now trying to buy it decided to spend the night! No electric or fireplace. They put a PROPANE HEATER on and almost died from CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING!! They are a couple in their 50's and her dad, late 70's was aware enough to get out of the house and call 911, BUT HE WASN'T SURE WHAT THE ADDRESS WAS!! Single guy called the property owner, she said she accepted their offer, but nothing was final!! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE???

Not all realtors give correct information. My realtor almost got the soon to be closing on my house cancelled. He acted like going into a house before closing is an okay thing to do. It is not!

If you have a Facebook or now on youtube, look up "Needle's Underpass." It's a low railroad bridge next to their house. She has a livestream on it, and it's halarious. There's signs, flashing lights, even a height pipe - and still about once a week (day sometimes) people forget their load and hit the bridge.

The "grafitti" is by each years Senior HS class, they get to paint the underpass.

Well, here's an update!! The realtor was informed, came by as other family members were moving a ton of furniture in! No offer accepted! One of the new squatters told the realtor she would have to wait at least 9 months to try to sell if their offer doesn't go through!! Why do many shiffy people these days? I know why!

OMG! What a mess. I wonder why they didn't have cameras and an alarm. On entry call police for burgulary. An offer doesn't provide occupancy. This is crazy. Sounds like the realtor and seller have no clue.

I noticed the problem rental on the next street has new tenants. There's been a utility work truck in the driveway. The HOA has strict rules about commercial vehicles, but the low life absentee landlords don't care. That owner has been a PITA since they bought it. I'm so glad I don't live on that street- just walking past I had to call 911 twice on the last tenants doberman and two shepards. One shepard jumped their 6 ft wall and attacked a guy walking his pup. In a year there were 5 people charged or chased by the dogs - one jumped through a screened window. The doberman chased us clear up a neighbors driveway.

A day or two later I was walking home from the office, a few blocks away. I saw the dude heading my way. I crossed the street to avoid him. HE crossed the street. I thought, "Oh boy, looks like it's game on, I'm going to have to shoot this sob."

As he got closer he waved, then stopped and said, "I want to apologize, I didn't understand things and just wanted to let you know we will be moving next week."

Yeah, the first thing both the PD and animal control said to me was, "Why didn't you shoot it?"

Well, because I don't hurt animals. In my whole life I kicked one dog (in a pack of a 1/2 dozen loose dogs harrassing me as a teenager) it nipped at my leg and tore my pants, and I kicked it hard. It's not the dog's fault they got a crappy owner. I was prepared had it not stopped, but if you shoot a redneck's dog, you have to shoot the redneck next. I'd rather avoid that.
