Welcome from South Florida.

I've been to Arizona twice, and fell in love with Sedona. When I was kid, my family went to the high desert when everything was blooming, and it looked and smelled beautiful.

Kevin, thank you for the welcome. Sedona is very nice and very pricey for Arizona. The high desert is very beautiful but again I am a bit prejudiced.

Didn't doctors use to prescribe Arizona for allergies? :D

Only the doctors that have never been to the desert in the blooming spring season. Antihistamines are my best friend during the spring. Still I love my desert.

I am a desert dweller. Love extreme hot temperatures. Currently reside in an urban area but making future plans to relocate to a more remote location. My aim is true, my typing not so much. Mind works a lot faster than fingers. Not overly sensitive, so if I make a mistake or mis-step, be suer to point me in the right direction.

Howdy there! Welcome from the sunny South, land of the Israelites! And hurricanes, tornadoes, tropical storms, 100 degree heat 70% humidity, and all that other good stuff.

Thank you, did you by any chance also forget to mention, water moccasins, roaming wild pigs, gators, and all the other wonderful wild life that goes along with 100 degree heat and 70% humidity? The only thing missing and preventing it from being a perfect paradise is no tidal waves. Other than that, your location sound perfect. Joking aside, thanks for the welcome.

And don't forget skeeters, ticks, chiggers, yellow jackets and poison ivy. :D

Seriously folks, if the SHTF STAY AWAY! It's too dangerous here! LOL

Nice try Doc but folks will still be headed your way. Now when was the last time you heard somebody say, "If the SHTF, I am headed for the desert"? When it does hit the fan, it is going to just be me and the Apaches.

I personally like Arkansas, Northern Alabama, Tennessee, parts of Texas and Kentucky particularly around Black Mountain BUT, humidity, high populations, skeeters, nuclear plants and to g'damn close to NY, NJ and the New England states.

NorthWest, has low humidity, FRESH cold water, very little skeeters, no nuclear plants and the 4 seasons, our biggest populations Northwest part of Washington. Though fires and politics are the only downside and a real threat. Oh set aside the volcanoes, earthquakes and that every major road has a lot of bridges and/or tunnels.

I have it on good authority that liberals are scared to death to set foot in that part of Mississippi.

So I guess the ruse works ;)

I sure hope it continues to work when all the free food stop flowing in those big cities. Oh well, them wild hogs got to eat too.

LOL, the two nearest "big cities" would be Greenwood to the north (population 15,000) and Yazoo City to the south (population 11,400.)

Yeah, I think it is going to work for you. I think my high school had more people. :D
