Ok the song was ok.But the song, Ben.
They call him Flipper, Flipper....
Brings me back to tv tray meal memories
OK, I saw the Munsters on tv the other night. Granddaughter watched it with a really odd look on her face.
I agree.
The picture is Dick The Bruiser.@INresponse, is your avatar picture "The Crusher" ?
My old neighbor used to talk about how Johnny Weismuller taught him how to swim when he was about 3 or 4 years old. Johnny used to date his mom's friend who was his babysitter.
Dick the Bruiser (left) was The Crusher's (right) tag team partner. I think they were both from Milwaukee. The picture is Dick The Bruiser.
Yes, they tag teamed as "cousins". I think they wrestled in a few states around the midwest, but mostly in Detroit. Dick The Bruiser was from Indiana, but had a summer home in Florida where he died. I used to watch him on TV on the rare occasions I could catch the wrestling program. A Detroit radio station morning show had a guy of many voices and a main character of the program was Dick The Bruiser. Always enjoyable comedy, I miss the good ol' DJ's.Dick the Bruiser (left) was The Crusher's (right) tag team partner. I think they were both from Milwaukee. View attachment 62395
I recognized him even as a kid. . . He did a lot of great movies and shows. You know, we had some really good stuff back then.
Who else watched the clock as a kid so you wouldn't miss a minute of the weekly episode of:
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. ?
Edit: Recognize the kid with Solo in this episode?
How about now?
Hot blondes anyone?Guilty for sure
I dream of Jeannie. (Still got a thing for her), American Bandstand
Add the intro into your post. Remember, we do have some unfortunate younger people who have no idea what we're talking about:Gunsmoke!
His military decorations included the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
Back when 4 channels was plenty! My most memorable tv moment as a kid wasn’t what you might think. 2 neighbors, spinsters and sisters came to watch something on our new tv as they’d never seen one. I don’t remember the show… but… My sister and I both noticed these ladies kept squirming in their chairs, moving this way and that.
When they left we asked my mom, she told us they were afraid the man on the tv could see up their skirts!!!! I remember howling with laughter, still brings a smile.
I remember watching the Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Andy Griffith... and the mutual of omaha nature show on Sundays...
This is how we knew him:Wikipedia said:...as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for his actions during the invasion of Tarawa in November 1943, when, as the coxswain of a Coast Guard landing craft, he rescued 47 Marines who were stranded offshore (and supervised the rescue of 30 others), while under heavy enemy machine-gun fire.
