Nothing has been stolen And they seem to know where my cameras are at and also knows how to avoid my outside dogs.

I’m beginning to wonder what’s really going on. Why he’s doing what he is. I just assumed at first it was some crackhead but with nothing missing And avoiding my cameras I’m not so sure.

Thoughts? Advice?
As always thank you and God bless!
I initially thought it was someone chancing their arm, but it's a little concerning that they know where the cameras are. I'd set up a few trip wires with cans etc and rig up another camera that you can access from your phone or PC so you don't have t go outside to check. And write down the dates/times they've been about, there may be a pattern.

If you had a teenaged daughter that would explain some boy lurking around to visit.
I speak from experience. Her dad suspected me and he was not happy and he made it clear what would happen if he caught me.
She and I made sure to never let him catch me. 🤣

There are several DIY trip alarms on YouTube.
Here's a simple one.

My kids range from 4 months to 9 years old
My daughters are both under 3.
That makes it even more unsettling for me. Not know the guys intent
I know me.... If I had little ones like you I'd be in camo, buried in leaves every night for the next month or until he came again and end it once and for all. "Have no clue what you are talking about officer, never saw anyone. You say who is reported missing again??"

Like @BBLife said I would be spending a lot of time waiting for whomever it is sneaking around and when I caught them it would not end well and I can guarantee they would never sneak around my place again.

It's no fun dealing with trespassers. I've had bums crash in my RV and potting sheds before (we're in a suburban area, go figure), We were having a similar issue where our dogs have gone off with no-one in sight at night but unknown footprints in the morning. Between that and our drunk neighbor coming over and telling me he was god and accusing me of being in league with his devil-witch ex I was motivated to get 3 floodlight cameras with alarms. After being set off a couple of times, the nocturnal visitors have stopped... Here's what I have: amazon.com/gp/product/B08C9FHDTC - they are super bright and super loud and wire right into any existing light fixture.

And some of us just don’t post all of his or her ideas or actions on the inter webs…

Been thinking on this… I’ve had dealings with druggies out in the woods. They are a nuisance but what you describe doesn’t sound like their common thievery and destructive behaviors.

Think this is something else, not many people know how to move in the woods at night. Common thieves usually don’t have the brain power or the skills.

Was there a lot of wind that night? How did it not set off your kennel dogs? Not on camera? Sounds like someone out for a stroll, someone smart enough to dodge dogs/video and with enough wood skill to move at night.

They didn’t take anything and they clearly could have. Didn’t want to be seen which can either be good or bad. No clear intent is troubling.

There was a guy here… below avg IQ. Lived in a shack with his dad who taught him to hunt. He became a very good hunter, really good at stalking. They needed the meat.

Even though he was over 18 the kid still needed supervision and care which he lost when the old man died. The county couldn’t help him, not able to do any job. Neighbors and a church made sure he had fire wood, groceries from time to time.

He became a problem, hunting where he shouldn’t, year round. Always had a rifle, he surprised some of the elderly in the community. Scared them, over time he became belligerent when asked nicely not to cross farms, stay off properties.

This guy could move unseen by most people, upset lots of folks over time. Even threatened an elderly neighbor. Darnedest thing, the shack he and his dad used to live in burned down. Heard the kid left the area, haven’t seen him in years.

Just trotting that out, lots of possibilities who that person may be and what they are up too.

But in this case I’d make it point to find out who it is...

Time for some trail cams. If the trespasser is really good at stealth he'll see them and avoid them. However, if he's smart enough for that, he's also smart enough to figure out that he's now being hunted, and that in itself is a deterrent...

Not so much windy but weve been getting lots of rain. So everything is wet And it’s mostly pines behind my house so not many leaves on the ground either so it’s fairly easy to get around quietly
I set up a few trail cams and a few other things to determine rather someone has passed threw. Also stayed up a while last night No visitor lasnight

Some thermal cameras could tell you exactly where he is. I know, a really out in left field suggestion but I thought I'd toss it out.
