Everyone else, Have you noticed the huge increase in the number of Gated Communities, Iceberg homes, Closed Access Estates going up everywhere both US, OZ, NZ, UK etc More and more people are adopting the White Flight Phenomena as the only viable option left to them.

The idea ain't bad, but in practice, places like that is a breeding ground for poverty and by slapping it in the media it becomes a target when things go south.

Sounds like a good idea to me. It all depends if they can make a living there and be self-sufficient. Otherwise it's just like a retirement community.
