I call shenanigans! New York has over 450 wineries.

And I have been to more wine tastings, met with more sommeliers and reviewed more wine menus at fancy restaurants in the last several months than any other 10 normal people.
I can attest that there's a lot of wineries in NY, from the Lake Erie border to the Finger Lakes.

Oh, and "normal people" drink beer or whiskey. :) ;)

There are a lot of politicians in DC, but that does mean there are very many "good" politicians. I know around here there are lots of micro-breweries, but not very many of them are that great. Definitely not famous enough to make a high end menu.

Maybe they only counted good ones. ;)

I have never once heard of or seen a wine from NY. And I have been to more wine tastings, met with more sommeliers and reviewed more wine menus at fancy restaurants in the last several months than any other 10 normal people.
Maybe you should get out more.

Holy crap, I have been on like 350 dates in the last 200 days!

Maybe NY needs to give up wine and focus on their inherent talents; crime and corruption.
Up state NY near Lake Erie is good wine/Amish country.

We have an old cottage there which would be an extreme BOL.
