@Peanut here is the description of dilly beans from Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilly_beans .
Dilly beans, or pickled green beans, are a means of preserving this summer legume. Often flavored with dill, hence the name, they may also contain garlic, Tabasco sauce, and red pepper.

Thank you, haven't had time for any research... :)

DILLY BEANS

2 pounds snap beans, trimmed and strings removed
4 heads dill
4 cloves garlic
4 small chili peppers, halved
2 1/2 cups vinegar
2 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup canning salt

Speaking my language here!

That is very similar to our recipes for spicy pickled beans. Only we use a chili peppers plus cayenne peppers and some cayenne pepper flakes.

I had to get some items in town so...

I attempted pickled green beans this past summer, 2 pints. I messed something up badly or there was a mistake in the internet recipe.

I also got a quart of pickled beets tonight, loved them as a kid, it's been that long since I had any...

These are expensive but with a purpose, taste a few recipes before I make them... Hopefully I'll come up with solid ideas by next summer.

I hope he gets some help before the tide comes in... further.

This isn't all that unusual. If you have a large payment on a rig you really don't want or use much this is a good unfortunate accident.
On the other hand, they could just be incredibly stupid.
Either way, the last thing you want in this situation is to get it out. It will rust away in a very short time and the insurance company will not pay off on rust.
Looks like it could be on the Washington coast. The same type of beach and it's legal to drive on them.
