I wouldn't. Too many potential maintenance issues surrounding a wood tub and water/humidity/soapscum/cleaning. And installation location - cockeyed and in the middle of the room, blocking the toilet - is really strange.

You do understand that they quit making wooden bathing tubs a long time ago, right? There were probably good reasons for doing so.

With the finish on it, you don't have to worry about it holding up to years of use.
I would bet it is slippery. A kid could play tidal waves really good.
However, at $15,000 to $40,000 they are just a bit out of my price range.

Once upon a time I serviced the CT at Encino hospital on Ventura and the one at Tarzana right up the street. Come to think of it I serviced the one at Sherman Oaks at the same time. They were called the Happy Triangle, a service guy's dream job.

Nope, but didn't think twice about neighbors. I would think anything that can keep it that shiny would be really slippery getting in and out. Also, would it become scratched in cleaning. I do love the wood though - just not a tub.

Tub looks like it has a resin coating. The coating may need a a little polish or a new coating, but it won't splinter.

The 1 time I was in Australia I really wanted to see a kangaroo but apparently there aren't many in Perth. I didn't have much chance of getting to the countryside.
