I had a Tabernacle Lancero Friday evening. Fantastic cigar. Never had a lancero before. 7x46, took 1.5 hours to smoke it

Well last night sitting around the campfire I had a new to me cigar. It was a Ashton aged Maduro. That thing was excellent, had a nice sweetness to it, no spice at all. May have to get a box of them for the humidor
Spent yesterday afternoon at the cigar bar with a good friend. I had a wonderful Cohiba Blue in honor of Bacpacker. We have both had Cohibas but they are at the upper limit of my price range, so they are reserved for special occasions. Then moved on to Perdomos and Olivas. It was a nice day.
Put this in the uncanny or wierd category, but I didn't realize it had been so long since we had posted on this thread. The place we frequent carries an excellent selection of Ashtons, and there is a big Ashton promotional poster right over the TV. I asked my friend if he had ever had an Ashton, and he had not, nor had I. I come back to Bacpacker's last post, and he was praising how good the Ashton was. IMHO that is devine intervention, Thanks, Bro. Next time I go I will try an Ashton. God rest his soul. I hope he is enjoying all the cigars he wants in Heaven.
