Drinking warm Chai black tea and honey

Wish you an adorable and relaxing night 🌹

Our snow is all but melted today, except the big piles where the skidster moved a bunch. Lovely day in the mid 50's, felt so good! Went to the bigger town and picked up husband's prescriptions, filled a cart at Walmart and at Aldi. The put aways are always the pain.
Are you able to drive, Tommyice? Left or right foot? I feel for you, that's terrible.
Favorite cousin called to extend the usual Sunday night dinner invite, but I can't get husband out of the house at all right now. He did get a shower, tho.
It’s my right foot so no driving for me. This morning Dad drove to the post office and he hasn’t forgotten how to drive. Tomorrow morning is an appointment with the endocrinologist. He’s driving but I’ll be going with him. He might as well drive while he can before the radiation gets too bad. Wednesday is my follow-up with the foot doctor.

Got the rest of our “stuff” moved today. I will go back and finish up some sweeping etc. and dig up some of my plants but that’s it.
Now this place is a bucket of chaos but I’ll get ‘er worked out.
Got Hubby’s fly room painted (2nd coat) this morning. The rest of our floor should arrive tomorrow and trim Thursday so we can finish floors which will be helpful. Also construction should be finished this week with exception of pantry shelves. That’s when the house will start coming together and get cleaner and organized. Right now I don’t know where the corn 🌽 is if I needed it. Makes it an adventure 😉

Stepping in for a minute with an update- it's been a hell of a week. So sons EDS condition means his knee pops out randomly. In a college hallway, he went to turn back as he heard a lecturers voice and need to speak with him.On turning, the knee went and the top and bottom of his leg went in different directions, causing him to crash down.He has a broken ankle and shattered scapula on the left side. He's now home and in a cast. Luckily we have downstairs bathroom, and were given a wheelchair, but its a bit hard going at the minute. He's in good enough form, and not in too much pain- I'm just concerned about the foot swelling in the cast etc if It's not high enough. He had the hard cast put on on last Tuesday (they put a light one on first) I also have to inject him against clots every day. Its going to be a long process.
On top of that, my Aunt died. February's been a long year!

Thank you so much for checking in, prayers and hugs!!

you look very familiar!! Have we met? Seriously.
I've never seen a photo of you, so I don't know. I am from FL but the Gulf coast, not Orlando area. And if it was early 2018 or before, I was 100 pounds heavier.

Today, I will walk first.
See my friend in hospital.
Do laundry.
Maybe go to Aldi and Walmart so I can stay home the rest of the week.

probably not then, we didn't go to the gulf coast much, usually went to the Atlantic coast, but wow, you must remind me of someone
I'll send a photo , maybe we have met somewhere, but I am not very good remembering people, so probably just a weird thing...

and congrats on your weight loss!! I can't even manage to lose 10 lbs LOl

Just puttering around here today, did get what I was missing to make and can some barbeque sauce. Looking at the Pioneer Woman's recipe, her recipes are pretty tasty. So now I have some wash yer sister sauce and red wine vinegar I got yesterday, so no excuses now. Weather going to be super nice this afternoon, and for now, it is fine at 32 this morning.

not starting great today, couldn't get the kitchen stove started, no starter wood
about to go check on sheep
need to go shopping and pick up our taxes but my foot hurts from walking the fences yesterday , plus now I have a toothache on the capped tooth I got done last year. I hope it goes away again and I just chewed on something too much. Did eat an apple yesterday evening. If not and it ends up having to be pulled out it was a giant waste of money and sitting there with my mouth open for what seemed like hours
Just noticed we have a farmers market meeting Saturday, wow, can't believe it is March already almost. So now I have to reschedule the puppy. Grrrr....ever have a day it seems like you should have just stayed in bed?
It's starting that way today. I also didn't take anything out of the freezer and have no more fresh veggies either, and with my tooth I don't want to chew on a pizza

that's some strange bbq sauce....wash yer sister sauce?? LOL

OK, you need Elkhound's awesome day speech, for sure.
I can't say worchestershire, so it's wash yer sister. Works.
You are reminding me that husband and I have the dentist on Wednesday, and I really, really, dislike going to the dentist because it's always something. I told them last time that they should just schedule me for dentures since I'll need them eventually and just get it over with, but nooooo.

hey tommyice what you do for fun and excitement today....rode to town with a 94 year old race car driver....how bout you?...lol

Today I get to go drive around a lovely lady with vision problems I met during my days doing home health. She's got some appointments then she wants to take me out for my bday, then I get a few hours actually at home! I'm pretty excited to finally be able to cook instead of eating from gas stations and to go orders lol

funny you mentioned race car driver. Dad didn’t drive one but he owned one. A 320 modified DIRT stock. Raced until 1985.

He drove to the doctor today. I went with him and he did fine. I didn’t feel any anxiousness.

I put Heidi upstairs in my apartment when we went. Took me a while to go up those 20 stairs but fortunately there’s a landing half way. When I got to the bottom I was reminded of what someone said I was after that gut surgery I had while we were on that other forum. Indomitable.

It only got down to 32 last night. So now the ice is falling off the house. About 4.30 I was woke up when a large chunk of ice fell off the north roof. Several more blocks have fallen since too. It's supposed to rain here today and tomorrow, maybe thunderstorms too. Currently our road isn't passible because of the melting snow and slush. We don't need to go anywhere until Wednesday, and I could reschedule my appointment if I need to. It's too early to get this warm.

I don;t know how to say that sauce either !! Now I have a new word for it :)

good luck at the dentist, and I hate going there too!! But my tooth has stopped hurting for now.
I am only missing one tooth so far in the middle back and it's been gone since I was a teenager, so I am not ready for dentures yet but yeah, debating on how much it is worth the money and aggrivation to get major work done at this point. I have 2 caps and fillings in the rest

The sunshine has literally arrived here , thanks!! It was so bright out I couldn't see anything in the barn because my glasses got so dark
Mood is better too, my tooth stopped hurting , and I got the fire started. But, no lambs yet
Puppy is supposed to get here on Sunday!

My new battle with corporate America.

Wifes phone stopped working in the house for the last 4 days! Is ok away from the house! Her phone has an SOS next to the signal strength icon. Went to Verizon 2x. Yesterday they recommended a new phone and the new plan. Got her an iphone 16. Got home ... NADA! Then spent 2 freakin hours on the phone with Verizon. No resolution. They tell us to go back to Verizon store today to return the phone and straighten it out. My phone works just fine, so it isn't anything here at the house.

It's hammer time. My patience is over. After 20 years with Verizon, I may cancel the whole damned thing and go with another pathetic carrier.

I managed to do scroll lock on my laptop, so am on phone until I get it fixed. I did Google it, but couldn't get it to work. I have a couple of issues with it, so will have all addressed at the same time.

Can You see the gear looking "Settings" ⚙️

You can Move it too Your Taskbar :

6. Utilizing a Pinned Taskbar Shortcut

Our geese were such a crack up today. There is now a girl goose sitting on eggs in the goose house, and a male protecting, just pacing, honking at me when I go in. The other ten geese were outside having the time of their lives getting their swimming pools filled up again since forever. The dog didn't know what to think watching them.
