Well, the chaos finally struck our small town Saturday..

They shut the town down completely.

They blockaded all the streets....

Hungry and thirsty people lined the streets everywhere...

Thousands of them....

I was so glad I had prepped for this to happen one day.


Some people actually had a shopping cart out on the road.....

Oh wait, it was Mardi Gras!!!

Someone mentioned backing a trailer in another thread... Now these were fun! Cotton wagons... double axles front and back. The front axles pivots as well as the trailer hitch. Thats two pivot points between the front wheels of the truck or tractor and the rear axles of the trailer. Fun, fun, fun! (stock photo)

Found this the other day... Two roosters I had once. A raccoon had killed all my hens. The roosters had nothing to do all day but strut around trying to impress each other... It was so sad it was funny!

We had hay wagons but just 4 wheels. They were a nice challenge to back them into the barn.

It was having 2 pivot points that got most folks. I've seen good drivers give up and walk away. Once you got the hang of it, it wasn't too bad. I tried to back one up a hill after a rain once... except it wasn't striaght up the hill. It was at an angle and the ground was slippery clay. It took me almost 1/2 hour to get that wagon turned around so I could pull it out of that field. Boy was I glad that JD4020 had power steering! It was a work out!

Yeah the drawbar pivot and then the axle as well seemed to me to make things backwards. My uncle had the wagon. Grand pa got so pissed with it he built a couple of car hauler type floats. They wouldn't hold as much hay, but they were legal on the highway and my gramps leased some property off his land so they worked out better
