I'll look it up..thanks!According to my Plant.net ap, it appears to be a type of Broomrape.
Maybe Greater Broomrape.
Give it a few days and see if it looks like this:Does anyone know what this plant is?

Yup! That's no joke - better to have a long sleeved cotton shirt w/ collar - you stay cooler not being burned.@Wingnut I can confirm the sunburn at elevation. A few years back, I was working in Little Gore Canyon near a village called Radium, Colorado. This pic is the exact place where we were.

We were around 8,000 feet high. Now, you mountain types might not think that's very high but to a flatlander from Iowa it's way up there. I think it was May and the temps might be 25° at 5:30am but might be 82° at 3pm and it was always sunny. Once it warmed up and the warm clothes came off, my bare arms and neck got scorched. I've only ever had one other sunburn that bad in my life. I had blisters and my arms looked like a snake trying to molt. I always keep that in mind now when I'm working at over 5,000 feet...
That's a good pix.
Green?! is that normal out there? 0_oThere was a storm in South Dakota this week and a few people have posted photos that they took during the storm. All of the photos are green, because the storm created a green cast. Corn that was waist high on the 4th of July is not any more.
Hail storms often have green clouds in the Midwest. It's definitely creepy looking...Green?! is that normal out there? 0_o
I was hoping to see you soon!! Great pictures!!Been hard at work the last couple weeks. Got rained out last week, put some sticks across the road and then got a complaint from the county because we were "contaminating the wetlands". We knew exactly who made the complaint.
Anyway, been drilling holes in rock, busting those up, getting sunburned and generally enjoying the empty nest lifestyle! Can't wait to get out of the RV park though, we are so close I can almost taste it! Just wanted to stop by and say hey, now that we have better internet. Hope everyone is doing well. Back to my day job tomorrow
Looks like some kind of mutated radioactive asparagus...Does anyone know what this plant is?
is that the stuff you put in the hole and wait 24 hours for it to blow up ?@DrJenner Y'all need to run down to the farm store and pick up 49 pounds of Tannerite. That should make short work out of some of those rocks...
Thanks my friend! Life is getting busy for sure.I was hoping to see you soon!! Great pictures!!
Good to "see" you. Glad it's going relatively smooth.Been hard at work the last couple weeks. Got rained out last week, put some sticks across the road and then got a complaint from the county because we were "contaminating the wetlands". We knew exactly who made the complaint.

It's a low power explosive that is used for target shooting by folks that like to see their targets explode when they are hit. Two powders, mix them together in a baggie or some other container, then shoot them and watch them explode. I'm not sure it makes for a good general purpose explosive though.is that the stuff you put in the hole and wait 24 hours for it to blow up ?
