My 'little-buddy', keeps my bedroom, (the cave) between 79° and 81° around the clock!
Yes, I never found a kilowatt I couldn't burn. :D

I ain't never gonna be 'cold' nomore!:waiting:
Be careful where you have that heater. Just an inch or two to the left it looks like a curtain. That could get too hot and cause a fire.

It always stays precisely placed, and I do 'finger-test' the curtain often. Never even warm.
Not shown to the right of it in the blast-stream, is the bottom of the blanket, never even gets warm.
Most importantly, straight in front of the blast-stream, just 5 feet away... is me. :D
Edit, forgot the required photo. Perfection! :

80 degs?!? That's hot. During winter with our wood stove burning 24/7 it's usually between 64 and 67 inside.

Close the Damper a bit more, Precious heat is leaving too fast...!!! You do have a Damper, don't You...?!?

Agh! I would die of heat stroke. In the winter, our house is 65 during awake hours, and 62 during sleep time.

In the summer, yeah, I pay good money for my air conditioning. We keep it at 68 to 70. Maybe 72 when we have a cold-intolerant guest visiting.

... Well, you are in no danger of having Super come to visit.

It could fall off the sill. Are you always around when the heater is on?

Last year there was a pretty nasty fine here in downtown Spencer, Iowa because of a heater like that tipping over when no one was there. Three buildings were destroyed.

When the wind direction is right I’m in the flight path and 12 miles away from Louisville International Airport. They are the main hub of UPS and their busy season is ramping up now, with overnight being the busiest time.

On the way home from church I could see a lot of air traffic lining up for approach so I thought I’d get a few shots from the driveway since the weather was nice.

These are pictures of Vicky. She decided I was her uncle because she looked up to me as a mentor. She started tagging along with me when she was about 16 years old. The Presidential elections start in Iowa, so I saw a lot of the people running, along with other politicians locally and in the state capitol and she went along.

Vicky got the idea to run for city council because of it when she was 17 years old because of what we did together where she lived in Missouri Valley, population 3000. Her parents thought is was a stupid idea but I encouraged her and told her what she needed to do. She won the election and got sworn in the day after she turned 18. Victoria Lee.

She was brutally murdered a few years after that by a jealous ex-boyfriend. Victory Lee Vargas was her name when she was murdered 12 years ago today. I never had a kid but she's as close to a kid as I've ever had.

I'm sorry for your loss! I'm glad she had you as a mentor/father!! ❤️

Thank you. I guess fathering comes natural. She had a lot of potential. She was going to college and had a 3.7 grade average. She thought about several things and decided she wanted to go into the Air Force as an officer and be a navigator on a plane.

Lenny, I'm so sorry about Vicky. It's awful to lose someone so young, but especially awful to lose them to violence. My oldest cousin on Mom's side lost her oldest daughter to domestic violence.

Mountaintrapper, chicken coop looks great!

Meanwhile, Rupert likes making himself comfortable on my lap

This is horrible. I am sorry for your loss. Was he convicted of her murder?

Yes. He got two life sentences, one for murdering her and one for murdering the man she had married just weeks before.
People like that have to be really mentally off! What kind of people do that? I hope he had Baby Ruth candy bars on his pillow in the big house frequently with follow up by the inmates, if you know what that means.
