When I did eat toast, I never had a reason to cut it at all.

You cut toast? That just makes it vulnerable for the little hands to swipe it!
Cutting it on a angle like A gives the illusion of more toast than B or C because of the length of the diagonal. D is reserved for cucumber sandwiches on white bread but the crusts must also be cut off to be correct.
The kid said A. She's the one I have to protect my toast from!!
