Slowly getting to know a little about flying my little drone.....without crashing into things. We have some big rocks to photograph here in montana. Even joe rogan is talking about them
I just started looking at drones again. What model do you have? I'd like to get something with at least a 10 mile range.

DJI mini 2 I bought it a couple of years ago but just got it going this year). They claim a 6 mile range...It is pretty stable in gusty wind around rocks and trees. Probably a bigger screen to watch it on would make it easier or maybe if I was a video gamer (60 years late for that). Also check out if they will work without cell service. Mine will fly anywhere but it doesn't transmit video back except with cell service. A lot to learn.

Dang I didn't know that. Just about every place that I want use it doesn't have cell coverage. I need enough range (about 12 miles) to make it across our property to check on the cows and fencing.

DJI mini 2. Bought it a couple years ago but just this year got it working, Photos for our Megalithic tours and books and also some simple checking out the immediate area to see what is going on tactically. Simple to fly for simple things......more of a challenge out of sight over the next hill. It is nice that when in doubt just let go of the controls and it hovers.....

All it takes is money and you can do a lot of stuff....just ask the operators in eastern europe.
Over 250 grams you need a pilots license...As far as the cell coverage that could just be my little guy. It's a wide field with home builds and all sorts of things going on.
My friend who has crashed thousands of dollars worth of RC planes and gliders is buying drones, and he has a pilots license so it should be interesting to see what develops.

Right now I'm looking at a Mavic 3 Pro Cine. They claim a range of 17 miles.
