I started this project last october… I have no space!!!! I have one closet in my house, the door is behind the bathroom door, pretty much unusable, bad design. In the laundry I have a metal storage locker with clothes but there were chairs, shelves and totes stacked in front. Basically for clothes I haven’t worn or seen in years. I have a metal clothes rack in the laundry that functioned as my closet. It was pushed against a freezer and had totes in front I had to reach over. The laundry rm had a path to the dryer from the washer. Could only access the freezer from the ends. The door to the porch could only be opened by moving chairs and totes. Even had to move items if I wanted to use the drying rack.
The first pic… Laundry rm... I’d already thrown out 4 - 39g lawn trash bags of junk. The path to the dryer was a little wider that it had been.
Next 3… it’s so much better than before, I’m a happy camper. I can access the white clothes locker and actually use it! I can walk the entire length of the freezer and reach the clothes rack from either side. I can open the porch door anytime I want. Best of all, I can fold clothes on top of the freezer now!!!!! And... on the rare occasion I iron a shirt I can do it in the laundry rm without dragging the ironing board down the hall to the living rm.
Still have to move some crap beside the white locker and move the bed parts away from the corner at the end of the piano. Took 3 months to get here but had to reorganize, rewire 2 other rooms concurrently and rebuild a stair landing. The other 2 rms have much further to go… maybe finish by summer.

Do you play the piano, Peanut?
Just when I was a kid, an old man taught me a 'chording' style of piano that used to be played in rural churches. Haven't heard anyone play that style in decades. But I was more interested in guitar, banjo and mandolin, and bluegrass. Only play guitar now. This piano was my sister's. She's deceased and her kids don't want it. Can't give piano's away, hate to junk it though. Keep thinking someone will want it.

Someone probably will. There was an old piano ($20) in our thrift store, little granddaughter would go in and play it when we shopped. But it's gone, I guess someone wanted it.
The 70's called and they want their linoleum back.

I think my grandfather bought that linoleum in 1974!
