Do i see a suffolk punch in this picture...the closest horse...it sure looks like one...i had a suffolk punch mare.

I remember they were sweet horses
the suffolk punch was used in breeding to create quarter horses. its where they get that big strong rump from. the suffolk is only horse bred for work and has shortest cannon bone in front legs as to be efficient in lifting ts leg up in pullin forward in mud,muck etc and in movement. all other 'work horses' were actually war horses used on battle field and were high steppers to crush men on battle field.

Over at the lake, you can usually see the other side, this almost looks like a black & white photograph. The other side has a higher bank to it. Not seeing that here. This was yesterday’s dust storm.
This is looking north around 6 yesterday. The sky was covered in dusty dirt.

They were keeping me in the car, the big English geese attack people.Where are the geese?

Bear is afraid of them! I've taken him to that lake and he won't get out of the vehicle if he hears them! Haven't been there in a while!

I had a team of Suffolk Punch horses that I used for logging. Best logging horses ever.
i logged with my mare too.
get yaself some of these...then you can stomp in mud puddles,bird poop and out in lake some like a kid !!

Well the only with the funky head and black stripe is an african. The others...maybe the Chinese white ones, not sure. We've got african and toulouse geese and a combo of the two. Ours aren't too terrible.

Yes they do!
And you should see the size of their eggs. Little granddaughter brought in another bunch of them today. If they're just laying and not sitting, then she's a nest raider.

Glad to hear Mr Carter fared well! My favorite cousin's grandson decided to get 3 chinese geese from the fowl sale. No one, and I mean no one was safe to hang laundry on the line. They would get chased and bit.
Our geese live in a geese area, so to speak. On the north side of our property near the path to Marlon's farm. They have an old building that was once a place where horses were shoed and harnesses were made. Some of the old equipment was still in there when we bought the place. And there is a very big run attached to that building, with a roof of chicken wire over the run. Four swimming pools in there that has to have water changed each day. They have a place to swim and run around, but not fly. Actually, I think they're too fat to fly. I go in or little granddaughter goes in each day to redo all the water, and give them greens and grain. Every once in a while they get a little hissy, but they're not too terrible. If anybody is even near that end of the property, their honkers go off. I can hear them all the way to the house.
