Preppers growing influence on todays society.
Had to smile when a local cop I was chatting with referred to his duty 'EDC' gear, which made me take a bit more notice when our local commercial radio station ran an advert for a nationwide bottle gas company it went something like

"Do you want to live off grid, do you want to be prepared, then Calor gas meets all of your heating needs" thats the first time I've hear Calor use such terminology.

So this evening I pick up a Military1st.co.uk company for a quick browse. Its a pretty normal glossy A 5 production that normally list all the usual stuff the military world like to buy.
But wait whats this? Page 1 NO SOLDIER, NO MARINE, NO AIRMAN just a guy in Cargos and T shirt sad in a vehicle with the following text (and please remember this is PAGE 1 of their catalogue)

" All right this is what really started our Helikon-Tex revoltion... Urnan line is our take on both challenges and routines of a modern world- merging tactical, sporting and EDC elements into one. pants, daypacks and light casual garments - they are oriented to give you sharp looks and enough space to hold all your daily stuff. "
If thats not a direct ad that puts the prepper market ahead of the police or military market I dont know what is?
Our steady drip drip drip of encouraging Preparedness and forward Planning for EVERYONE is clearly gaining credence in the larger main stream community.
