I have these 2 neighbors beside my property.

The one to the south of me is kind of poor and has a tendency of running with the wrong crowd. They're well known to have issues with law enforcement. They have a total disregard for property lines and quite often, come onto my property seeing that my place is nicer than theirs. While here, they have no respect for much of anything and take things from me and mine and take those things back home. While here, they leave a lot of their trash, including drug related items which harm what I have. They fully believe what's mine is theirs.

My neighbor to the north is friendly, courteous and we get along well. The unfortunate thing is that they allow people to visit them as guests that too think my property is pretty nice and want to take from me.

I've asked both neighbors nicely on many occasions to stop allowing the trespass onto my place. I've tried to help them over the years in many, many ways yet it doesn't stop. I started putting up fencing to curb the problem but it's not 100% so they just go around it.

To my east and west is pretty wide open so I don't have the direct contact issues but in conversations, they seem to be a mixed bag on whether I should do anything. It "seems" like they don't care about me and seem to be focusing on their own similar issues.

The problem is pretty bad. What am I to do?

No trespassing signage?
Purple paint on trees?

Do you have a fence? Are you allowed to have a fence where you live? If you can have a fence, have one built and put gates that lock on it. You can use locks that need codes to get in as opposed to keys.

I have a fence completely around my place. After I had my garage built, the fence was down until I could get it rebuilt. My ex's, now my daughter's 914 Porsche was in the yard at that time, We had visitors who were interested in the 914. Daughter always keeps a cover on it, but the cover kept being removed by someone who thought maybe they could drive it away. They couldn't. There wasn't a battery and the car needed some work, so was undriveable at the time.

Two problems, one solution:
8' chain link fence topped with Constantia wire. Now before you go do this, go to each neighbor and ask:
Have you seen anything odd around here, like maybe some creepy dude that doesn't live here?
Do this a couple of times, on the third time exclaim."I'm sick of that guy! he steals stuff out of the shed and stares at the house for hours! I'm building a fence, you should too! Now you're innocent of any "wrongdoing" and you've put them on edge for revenge!

P.S
Electrify it for giggles.

How big is your property? If it's larger than the neighbors, then it seems that they do think that they can trespass. We have that problem too. We walk the property line every year or two to make sure nobody is building on it or cutting it. We planted a tree line a few years ago b/c it would be too expensive to put a fense down the whole line that has the crappy neighbors on it. It'll take years before that tree line truly does us any good, but it's a start.

On the line where you have the intruding neighbors, put up a fense if you can. We're hoping to do the same on a small portion of our line. One of our nice old neighbors trespasses as well. She plants her flower bed clearly between the property posts on OUR side of the property. I don't have the heart to tell her to move her flowers, so I'm sure they'll be staying there as long as she is living. There's just some things not worth fighting about.

Thankfully we don't have issues with druggies or thieves. In that case, I'd probably put up some cameras and when you get anything on camera either threaten to take it to the police....or just take it to the police.

You could annoy them with a really bright light on that line but that would probably just escalate things, which is probably not something you want to do. Or, you could just threaten to put a big bright light there if they don't stay off your property. It's a crappy situation any way you slice it:( People are jerks.

So sorry for what you’re going through. Nothing will make your stand more clear than a fence.
We’ve had ‘those’ neighbors for 40 years now. Nice does not work. A pretty planting will not work. A split rail with landscaping will not work. An elevated 6 foot wood fence the length of the immediate area with the threat of barbed wire for the rest and security lights pretty much worked, in addition to some random ‘target practice’ out back with some heavy caliber.
We tolerate each other now, and it has gotten much better since their kids moved on. But I’m afraid you have to be loud and clear, and send the message that you won’t take crap to get respect.

That's kind of a tough one. Years ago I bought some timber land. There was a neighbor that lived close to the property line. I had it surveyed prior to logging. One day I noticed that all the survey flags along our common property line were moved way in to our property. I confronted this neighbor and asked nicely what was he thinking. He said that he only had 5 acres, and since I had a lot of land he figured I wouldn't miss it. I told him gently that if he ever did something like that again that I'd beat his arse. That took care of that problem.
I don't think that would work in your case though. If your property isn't already posted, post it and then set up some game cameras. If you have a good sheriff in your county he should be able to help..

plant a layer of these along the inside of your fence.

What they're not telling you is scratches from the thorns burn like fire due to the sap!
then intermix them with these:

All those beautiful black roses intermixed with black berries and a layer of gods barbed wire, your deer and rabbits will worship you!

Yes they are.

I can't let this go on anymore seeing the thought out and time consuming posts you've all made. I thank you and apologize if I've wasted your time.

I should adjust my first post or you can just re-read it. My neighbors are MEXICO and CANADA.

I can tell by the posts that none of us like encroachment on a personal level. Let's all apply our feelings and full support of those that feel like us to a NATIONAL level.

Pretty sure moving landmarks is against the law.

Let the law beat his arse.

I think your only solution is to remove all members of the canadian government to Gitmo, and take the hired thugs too, then I am pretty sure we will get along just fine
