After 25 years of living here, finally took down a wall and moved washer into the toilet in the garage. Everything more contained now, and the water from the machine goes into a barrel for me to use for watering.
The other pic is the scorched wood I mentioned in another thread that husband got for free. With the freezers etc, the wall is inclined to get a little moudly looking. Hope to get it finished by tomorrow. Don't need another unfinished project!

Did a quick reconditioning of the island butcher block top. It’s living a second life in our house after having lived in a bakery for over 100 years so that’s real patina on almost 3” of maple. It’s been about 3 years since I stripped the oil and wax. A light sanding to scrub what I couldn’t get with actual scrubbing and then a new coat of walnut oil and wax. It’s the same finish used on wood salad bowls. Looking pretty great again and ready for use.
