The worst smell in the world I'm smelling right now.
I have no words.....you sure have to put up with a lot
The worst smell in the world I'm smelling right now.
I finally got tired of the funky smell and quit burning any coffin nails
Yeah, it seems almost any frozen meal anymore is crap. Although, we got a Digorno pizza a few weeks ago (which is something I hardly ever do) b/c I didn't feel like making dinner. I was surprised....it was pretty darned good, especially on sale for $5.99. I'd buy that again.Anyway, I'm not big on ranting, but I will make this observation: that Rao's Lasagna I tried last night was absolutely the WORST frozen lasagna I've ever had, just a complete waste of money. The Stouffer's cr@p is bad enough, lol... I really need to start making my own lasagna again, it totally blows doors on ANYTHING found in the frozen foods aisle of the grocery store. Seems like the quality of so many foods has dropped like a rock, you're better off making your own! And normally I do, I just lapsed into buying some of that frozen junk while relocating and pulling home rehab work, lol.
DW worked with an event planner & at one wedding the Bride & groom fell out on the dance floor as they were leaving the party. So drunk they could not walk to the car, what a way to start a life together! Thanks.
I did offer to get him down the stairs myself since the four guys and the stretcher were a pain. Hard wood stairs, 1908 built house... of course, not carpeted. One platform, one turn in the stairway.
Told them I could grab him by the ankles and drag him down.

This is my rant today.
Sounds like a horrible experience, imho. We need a thread for the countdown until these two age out and leave forever. The worst smell in the world I'm smelling right now. The twins went to granddaughter's "friend" wedding and reception. Told them to be home by 11:30, no later. I'm pretty much asleep, heard some thumps about that time. Then I heard a big bang from upstairs, went up to see, and grandson was incoherent, on the floor, fell out of bed, couldn't get him to respond. Banged on his sister's door, she is wearing what she had on for the wedding, but it was ripped up on one side. Said she had no idea what was wrong. At that point he's gurgling and choking in his vomit and I'm yelling real loud for her to help, and she wouldn't. Put him on his side, wiped his mouth, nose, continual vomitting everywhere. Husband called for an ambulance. They had to bring a stretcher up to get him downstairs, four men. Granddaughter is being a real witch, saying it's not her problem, not her fault, maybe he had one drink. Well his blood alcohol was 238, the hospital said. So I had to go to ER and follow the ambulance. Went home for a few hours, and then back again to pick him up. Guess he told the doc all about his drinking and drug use. I'm sick of them both. EMT's said I saved his life. I hope he lives a life worth saving.
For ALL of our sakes, NO MORE RAO'S!!!When I was young, I'd smoke Marlboro Reds after getting drunk... only one or two, and even those were enough to make my clothes stink, lol. I finally got tired of the funky smell and quit burning any coffin nails... nowadays, I'll shift my position to windward if someone lights up outdoors. No big deal, I just don't like the smell of tobacco smoke anymore. Even with the occasional bong hit I take, I smoke it on the front porch, or else on the back step, so there's no smoke in my home. Looking out for the cats, I call it... they don't much like smoke of any kind, lol.
I must say, a decade or so ago I was somewhat surprised to hear that public smoking was outlawed in Kalifornia, at least in the town where I lived. It seemed a bit Draconian, like where would the smokers light up? Except in their homes or vehicles? Seemed a bit extreme, even though I didn't smoke tobacco and hadn't had a cigarette in many years. In my 'trucking daze' it was always a bit of a surprise to see folks still smoking in cafes & restaurants, since that activity had been outlawed long ago in Kalifornia. Same goes for seeing cycle riders without helmets... perfectly legal, lol.

This incident is probably going to bite them in the butts!! They are not facing you because of their guilt!! I bet they both will see big trouble out of this one!!I don't like phones either, Clem. With you there.
My rant is addicts and narcs do not take responsibility. After saving grandson's life, staying up all night with him at the hospital, getting him home, he and his sister refuse to talk to me. Somehow all of that is my fault. They walk right past me and put their noses up. The thing is, it's so stupid, and I am to the point where I don't even care about them. Husband sent a long email to the child services lady that handles their case, and she called today horrified about what happened. She is overworked, but is meeting with the two of them at school on Wednesday. They will blame all that happened on me, I'm sure of it. Grandson told my husband today that he is hoping the officers did not file charges because he is on preprobation for last incidence. So he is calling every day. He says he will be off preprobation on the 18th and is crossing his fingers. He isn't thinking that child services is getting a copy from the hospital showing his blood alcohol level.
Honestly, he is past redemption for the foreseeable future. I couldn't sleep with him in the house. The disdain they have for you brings back severely bad memories. I wish to hell that my brother had been removed.
You cannot save him, let him go. It isn't just him and his sister. It's all of their outside connections as well. That's a bad crowd that knows everything about you and yours whether true or not.
oh yeah. Just try passing a man on the right, who is driving in the left lane, with a large pickup with idaho plates here in WA. You think you had castrated them or something! Maybe don’t drive 55 in the left lane when the speed limit is 60!! (and no it’s not snowing at the time).Have you ever sensed that drivers have taken offence when you pass t and pull 8n ahead of them as if one has taken away the road ahead of them ?

Until he is 18, he is a minor and Amish and husband are his guardians. The two grandchildren could seek to be emancipated.Honestly, he is past redemption for the foreseeable future.
