If you have any white food-grade sulfur, mix a spoonful in with black molasses or raw honey and see if it runs you to the bathroom, best taken on a full tummy. take one spoonful of the mix three times a day.
i've never heard of that. What's it supposed to do? It's got to taste damn awful.

It's a spring tonic, that artificially boosts your energy levels for about two hours, it also is known to loosen stool.
We used to give it to lethargic livestock, but it works well on us humans. the taste isn't bad, you mainly taste the molasses or honey.

I think I'd rather go for continued lethargy. Most days, I start off slow, and then taper off from there. That stuff does sound like it would be nasty, but maybe like you say, the sweet would be the dominate flavor. It still sounds nasty though.

There are people who are not able to do math. I have a friend that I think has a math disability.

When I lived in Kansas City, many years ago, there was a McDonalds that people would try to rip off. This was before drive throughs. Imagine that! Customers would hand the cashier a bill, maybe a $5. Cashier would hand them back the change and the person would protest, saying they gave cashier a $20. The store developed a practice. When a cashier received whatever bill for payment, they would say, "Out of 5." Then everyone behind the counter would repeat that. "Out of 5." "Out of 5." "Out of 5." It was entertaining to go into the place.
My oldest boy is poor at arithmetic. He can add two or three numbers with three digits each, but has to write them down. He teaches AP math (including calculus) in a parochial school and has a BS and an MS in math; you'd think he could add a bunch of integers together, amirite?

We are all different. Our brains work differently. My algebra teacher told me about my high math aptitude because I did not do well in algebra. It made no sense to me. He wondered what was going on for me since I had such a high math aptitude. Now, if we were talking about cows in the field, or how many of the train cars that went by were tankers and what percentage, no problem. Story problems in math, so easy, no problem. Fractions, no problem. Percentages, easy. But algebra kicked my butt. After algebra, I took no more math in h.s. because I thought I wasn't good at it. Except, I really do like geometry.
In fifth grade, I preferred reading chapter books to doing my math. One day the teacher called me up and showed me that I had never turned in many assignments, probably close to six weeks worth. They were boring so I had just put them in my desk and read instead. I went back to my desk after the teacher showed me that I had not turned in so many assignments and did weeks worth of math before the day was over.

I cannot eat honey to this day because my grandmother gave me honey and alum to ward off whooping cough.

Well........I never had whooping cough.

Yup.

I was frustrated with arithmetic early with all that memorizing stuff. But when I was introduced to algebra I found it interesting being pattern matching based. Loved all higher end math until I got to quantum mechanics. Too much to fast for me.

Geometry and proofs were fun.;)

I eventually figured out arithmetic. Only took me 50 years or so.

No where near as nasty as the stuff the big pharma push, the after-effects smell like sulfur.

Best with molasses anyway.

I enjoyed calc 3 in college...lol, we must be weird

when I learned arithmetic it was taught different from here. We memorized all the multiplication tables in elementary school for example ( my kids didn't do that in Florida schools) . Then every morning, the teacher would give us a start number, and then told us what number to add , subtract, multiply and divide in our heads, without being allowed to write anything down. At the end we had to write down our final number and he would tell us what it was supposed to be. Once a week or so he would collect the final numbers and grade us on it.

I used to be able to do all sorts of math in my head, but the older I get, the harder it is getting. Out of practise

We got a small loan for the termite invasion we had earlier this year. $1200 no interest deal. I pay $200 a month (or more) before the due date. Paid as usual in Sept. and bank shows it was sent Sept 1st and received at company on Sept. 11th. I just received a credit/ refund from the company for full amount back to bank account. Sept. statement from company shows I didn't pay anything. I have all the info in bank statement and will probably just pay them off this month. Will be calling (I'm sure I will be on hold for awhile) this morning. I hate unscrupulous companies!

And our mailbox got bashed again last night.

Exhaustion is still kicking my tail. I think I'm going to try adding vitamin D to my vitamin list. Slept almost all day yesterday and then all night. Still tired. Also been having sinus headaches. It rained yesterday.

I went to heat up the mac-n-cheese I bought for myself and found it was gone. Not only was it gone, but the empty container was on the floor. My brother didn't even ask. He also spilled curry in the microwave and didn't even try to clean it up.

I'm tired of being tired.
D & K, Winter is coming..

I was always OK with math in school... Algebra was a waste of time and it seems I never obviously used it since.. However trigonometry was a whole different thing... Working in the tool and die machinist trade being exceptionally good with trig served me well... Like said having not used it for years now, I would be hard pressed to pick it up again.. Indeed, we are all different..

Wednesday morning I learn they are moving MIL into a home on Friday.

Me: Anything I can do to help with the move?
Wife: No. Other then a few clothes there is nothing else to move.
Me: Government entity I advise is trying to complete a 2 1/2 year project that been delayed because of the China Flu, government employees inability. One last step that I've agreed to handle and the project is completed. I agree I'll meet with the contractors at 1 o'clock on Friday.

Wednesday afternoon.

Wife: There is a large powered reclining lounge chair. Can I help BIL?
Me: What time? I have a 1 o'clock that I can't postpone.
Wife: I don't know what time I'll ask.

Thursday morning

Wife: 10:15
Me: That will work.
Wife: And we will have to drive separate.
Me: OK that will give me the opportunity to some banking business while I'm in town.

Thursday evening.

Wife: Time is changed to 10:30
Me: OK. Don't forget about my 1 o'clock.
Wife: Yea I know. And will can drive together because SIL will bring the me home.
Me: OK I can do the banking at a later date. No problem

Friday morning

Me: I'm ready to head out to help BIL load the chair.
Wife: SIL call. MIL & BIL are still sleeping. Time is now 11:15
Me: Don't forget about my 1 o'clock appointment.
Wife: You'll have plenty of time and we'll be driving seperate.
Me thinking: 30 minutes to MIL's house and load. 30 minutes to the rest home and unload. 30 minutes to my appointment. I'll have 15 minutes ...

I'm going to bet that they will not be there at 11:15. You are going to be late for your 1:00 appointment or that chair will be moved at a later time. If it were me, that chair would get moved after your appointment. Who is really in charge of the this whole event? I get really frustrated with people who are late and are inconsiderate of other people's previously stated needs.

Wife is the Executor but lets her younger sister be the one “in charge”.

I agree with you, it’s very rude to waste others time by being late.

Why is this in the rant thread?? And congratulations!!😺
I clicked the wrong tab, I was supposed to be in the "What are you doing thread."
I'm a cat magnet.

Magus, the Metformin I take already gives me frequent diarrhea so I don't want to take anything else to make it worse.
Tried to get some sleep last night but something was setting Princess off. Not sure if she heard something, smelled something, or imagined something but she was losing her damn mind. She kept barking and doing a little half woof. Then she was whining. Kept looking out the windows and then running back and forth. The woofing/barking/whining was annoying enough but she kept trampling over me when she was running back and forth over my bed. I was almost asleep when she stomped on my head. Then she sat between my face and the fan while she stared out the window to do the bark/woof/whine thing. I feel like I can't breathe if I don't have a fan blowing on my face. I kept moving her out of the way but she kept whining and going back and then doing the whole running around and trampling over me. She ran out of the room a few times and then came running back, jumping on the bed, and trampling me.
It got Fippy all worked up. He snarled, growled, and snapped when she got near him but he also joined in with the barking.
When she finally settled down I was able to get to sleep, but the cats woke me up before dawn because to them it was canned-food-o'clock. My door is broken so I can't close it and keep them out.
At least I never feel alone. LOL.

Could have been the MOON!

Pearl, that is a possibility. This morning one of the cats decided to run over my face and accidentally scratched my eyelid with a claw on her back foot.
We're out of a lot of groceries. Stuff that they didn't have in stock and so forth. I need to go stock up. My brother has practically been inhaling the butter chicken frozen meals.
Need to find something Mom likes but she's super picky & changes her mind about what she likes all the time. One day she likes something, next day she says she hates it & not to buy more. Then she gets mad that I didn't buy more bc she suddenly wants it again.
I'm hoping the vitamin D will start helping with my energy levels. Thus far it doesn't seem to be helping. I probably have sleep apnea though so I suspect I'm not getting enough oxygen at night. Can't get a sleep study or cpap without insurance though.

What would the ice drops or mint mouthwash do?
I have prescription mouthwash from my dentist.
Still a bit foggy-brained despite sleeping pretty well last night.
This is the month where I usually get depressed but we'll see how it goes.
