Remember the good ole days, before Joe Bribem & Komrade Kumala, when Dollar Tree was still a Dollar?

I have never been inside any of the so-called Dollar stores. I figured that sold mostly cheap plastic junk.
Their food section is my primary go-to. They have shelf stable milk, oversized cans of beans, pie fillings, soups, plenty of survivalist pantry type items, and discounted bread & bagels (still with good dates). They have organizational bins, party & gift supplies, batteries, cheap first aid & toiletries. Dollar Tree was unique pre-Joe Bribem....EVERYTHING was ONE DOLLAR.

I loved DT & will admit that I assumed the price increase to $1.25 & them adding higher priced items would spell the end. As it turned out all of the things I pay $1.25 are worth more than that to me. And the most expensive items I generally don't buy. I'll add that you can find some of their $1.25 items for sale on Amazon for $10.00. Two of the items that I buy there are generic CLR & also a grease cleaner. Both are great!

I'll add that there are 2 good reasons to never shop at Dollar Tree & places like Dollar Tree:
1. You've got enough money that you don't have to care about what you spend.
2. You don't care about ever becoming wealthy.

Dollar stores, DG and dollar tree sometimes have things you just can't get at Walmart.
Before Joe, a can of sausage gravy was under a buck, now its a buck eighty. a can of those
Canadian-made Pringles clones. (Actually better IMHO.) were 80 cents, now they cost as much as Pringles, and don't get me started on meat prices! I haven't had a steak in 4 years!

I may have to stop in there sometime and check them out.
Speaking of days gone by, I remember .23 cent per gallon gas. I could fill up my 64 Chevy pickup for $5.00. I was working on a ranch at that time making $400 per month. Life was good.

Appalachia Homestead (Patera) just did an interesting youtube today regarding Aldi prices. In three years, the same 17 items she's logged have gone up 55%. Last year November till now on the same went up 7%. Inflation is insane. Biden admin is insane not to acknowledge it.
I shop Dollar Tree. Pickles, chopped garlic, pasta, box milk, sponges. I pay $5 for the laundry soap. Of course I liked it better at a buck. We'll see what happens to the price of those Chinese products when Trump takes office.
