I thought I was looking at an old weather video at first. Kind of scary seeing all this stuff. I'm not worried about my area, I just hate being cold.
heavy gauge long johns and socks and a toboggan on ya noggin and crawl in a good sleeping bag ! call me in the spring time !

prayers for all in the path, stay warm and safe. and prayers for the helene storm victims still trying to stay alive.

just heard a sort of warning that this storm will cause problems on eastern seabord ports and to expect shortages real fast in grocery stores very soon as it will take some time to get things back to normal.

then he reminded jan 15 is the port workers strike oneastern seaboard and gulf.

kinda looks like there is oppertunity for things to get icky fast.
got coffee?

Getting ready to go chop Ice again this kinda weather 2x a day feed & water. for hounds any frozen eggs get cracked in a buck and Mixed with calf milk replacer and warm water every hounds gets 3 laddles on top of their dog food.

Talking to Jim this morning... he reminded me that in Ky, Tn and northern Al, ice is always our worry. He got serious ice last night, lots of people without power.

Sure we'll get a little snow once in a while, maybe big snow every 20yrs or so. But year in year out ice is the big threat. Takes out power lines over huge areas.

30f now, maybe 20f over night. Rinse and repeat til the weekend. Weather report had a little snow as a maybe for Fri/Sat.

We got a snow total of 10 inches but it was tamped down by some sleet. Most businesses were closed today, including mine. The heat pump’s fan went out, might just be the capacitor and I have an extra one but it’s going to get pretty cold so will just switch it to emergency heat through that period. At least the freezing rain didn’t make it up to me.

Daughter said where she works (pizza place) closed early tonight, it was slow. And likely be closed on Thursday and Friday, likely because of the snow and such.

I get tired of waiting for approval to go home or not go in when roads are bad and only going to get worse. They gotta have meetings and discussions and approval and yadda yadda ya. Meanwhile another 2” of snow on the roads and nobody knows how to drive in the snow here! Including me! Lol
