have not been out in days now...last couple i did clear a walk path to truck...ventured to mailbox today...was hoping for millions in publishers clearing house contest...so i risked it for the biscuit as they say....holy moly...i could hardly get from truck to mailbox...it was pure adventure....be a few days before i try that again...risk/reward ratio is to low for junk mail...right there with you !!
everything here is canceled till april 1st now....i have spoken...elkhound...president of barsoom !
I lost mine two winters ago, literally had to crawl in some places to get food and water to the donkey! I ordered new ones, and then found the originals! They are ready for tomorrow!! @elkhound , ice cleats make a huge difference!!Get some Yak Traxx, Elkhound. I don't go out the door without them on my boots! I'm sure I would of broke a hip by now without them
We used to have some too, but they left little dimples in our redwood deck so we quit wearing them. Now we just use salt and sand on the steps.I lost mine two winters ago, literally had to crawl in some places to get food and water to the donkey! I ordered new ones, and then found the originals! We usually get a solid coating of ice everywhere, not snow. I've found them necessary to walk anywhere!!We used to have some too, but they left little dimples in our redwood deck so we quit wearing them. Now we just use salt and sand on the steps.
Make sure she has ice cleatsi am just being super cautious.
if i can gather up enough stamps i am ordering a mail order bride if this ice dont melt soon.
That'd be me since Sunday. I'm ready for something different.Update: north Texas has closed schools for tomorrow and will be coming to a complete stand still ()!! That's actually pretty smart, hope people stay home and don't venture out where they don't need to be!! A gal I know who is a doctor always says she wishes those who don't need to get out would stay off the roads so those who actually do have to get out can have a safer drive!! I personally am looking forward to not having to leave the property!! I'll be enjoying eating, sleeping, animal care, and hopefully sled riding!!
That's hysterical! I did know one mail order bride once. She was a young 19 yr old, married an older satellite engineer that worked for my husband. They had two kids together. Boy, I could tell you stories for sure. She was from the Phillipines.i am just being super cautious.

I'd say, don't do it, but whatever.
looking for a widowed amish woman with a wild streak in her...i might entice her by telling her i got electric power and we can fool around with the lights on if she wants to !You'd do better with an old Mennonite lady. At least you'd eat good food and have a clean house.
Hopefully they smarten up!! What jerks!!@Amish Heart hope everything stays nice and quiet and your husband stays slowly busy. I’m glad he feels like working on it.
@elkhound I’ve known 3 couples where the woman came from the Philippines and all relationships have seemed to work out well.
Yeah, @Pearl schools are closed tomorrow but work still on for me. They’ll call it after 3 employees site wide have accidents. I’m just sayin’. I hate it when they do this. My black ice accident many years ago messed me up big time.
The worst of the weather is past us, but I thought this would be a good reminder for future Arctic blasts.
