My stepson, who is a bow hunter, got this 6x6 elk in New Mexico yesterday. I guess it doesn't hurt being a Baptist pastor when it comes to getting blessed.

He had to track the elk 300 yards. It had laid down and it was finished with a second shot. Based on where the elk presented itself in the trees, there was only two choices: a liver shot or a shot that would have hit the shoulder (scapula).Shot looks a touch back- he have any trouble finding him?

He has been practicing for this day for quite a while....Some real skills at play there. It takes alot of grit to keep it together and make those kinds of decisions when you've got limited options- that's a high pressure situation and he made it Happen. Respect.
