Ok, first off this has absolutely nothing to do with prepping, but was pretty cool. The news had a blurb about the space station being visible tonight. I went out on the deck and expected to see something like an airplane. When it came in view I was really suprised. It was much larger and brighter than I ever imagined. Was haulin butt too. It came and went in about three minutes. NASA has a site on when and where you can view it from anywhere in the world. You put in your location and it shows when it will be visible to your area. Usually it's shortly after sunset as the sun reflects off it best then. Well worth the effort here. I guess this might have a little prepping in mind. If the earth gets hit by a big asteroid, they stand a better chance than anyone down here....

To give a comparison here, it was 10 times brighter than any of the planets ever are and a whole lot faster than even the fastest planes.
