Preface most of my posts will be on TEOTWAWKI as opposed to SHTF (though some answers will be applicable to both) and as they are being posted in different subcategories/subforums I'm numbering them. If you prefer that I don't let me know.

In the event there is no longer any electricity worldwide for whatever the reason, what supplies and quantities of them are you planning on having. Obviously people are limited by the money they have at present. Please comment also on what is the expected lifetime of these supplies- i.e. Solar Panels don't last a lifetime. Note this thread just applies to only life without electricity though let's assume batteries work).

For myself:

1. Obviously solar panels. How many I'm clueless on and how long they last.

2. Batteries Probably enough for 12 years. I heard batteries only last 10 years.

3. Large Candles, holders and matches. How many Candles is sufficient?

4. At least 4 bicycles and plenty of tires.

5. Several stoves, fireplaces and logs.

6. Walkie Talkies

7. Kerosene Not Sure How long they last

7A. Kerosene Cooking Devices

8. As much freeze dried and dehydrated canned food (You may not think its related to lack of electricity but you won't be able to refrigerate anything I don't think.

9. Battery Powered fans
