Testing a Plan- EMERGENCY
Thanksgiving 2015
We (You CANNOT do life alone) had planned , Dreamed up menus and dishes, made lists, reviewed all the Sales coupons for the best products to fit our menu, shopped 3 times( Damn groceries are getting EXPENSIVE), Invited and Un invited family and friends.
We had the perfect menu list of dishes for sharing our Great day of Thanks for all we had been through in last twelve months. To prepare a Perfect dinner for 4:00 pm when the working were able to join us;
We started at 7:00 am smoking a Ham; 8:00 am Turkey in oven stuffed with dressing; Veggie tray for the cooks by 9:00 am; Cleaning and boiling Cranberries for multiple dishes by 10:00; An organized confusion of Preparing all the dishes to fit every Taste
House is smelling awesome and heating up from all the cooking; Fresh bread is mixed and rising by 1:00 pm; doubled and pushed down by 2:00 pm; 3;30 ; Family has notified us they are on the way to join us; bread has finished last rise; rolled and going in oven.
Phone rings-
EMERGENCY; Father in Law who had surgery 3 days prior has fallen and Mother in Law needs assistance ; ALL PLANS cease;
Wife and team go to support 12 miles away; Transport to Hospital and we will know more tomorrow after Emergency Surgery
We eat a very over cooked and cold Thanksgiving dinner
