Well, not any longer.
Cymbalta.
Anti-depressant.
I earned it and the p.t.s.d. delayed syndrome.
22.5 years in the mean streets.
Saw everything that should never happen to anyone that happened anyway.
13 serious injuries, 9 months in rehab learning to walk again.
Back broken 4 X, both hands broken, 3 concussions, 3 gunfights, and more.
10 years as a detective, 3 of those as chief of investigations..................
100% disabled. (from ever being in police work again.)
I didn't ride around in a pretty blue and white car drinking coffee
and eating donuts.
Been to the Ohio Police Officers Training academy 9 times.
Have two degrees.
Crippled I am, lazy I'm not.
4 of my men ended up visiting a mental institution for about 3 months
getting their brains unscrambled.
My partner blew his brains out.
THAT is something that never occurred to this man!!!!!
Alcoholism ran rampant. I've been in 3 rehabs.
I gave up booze.
I was in psychotherapy for FIVE years learning what "normal" was.
I want no one to ever deal with an 8 year old girl with syphilis of
the throat for the 3rd time!
College boy walking on campus at night got a knife in the heart.
He lived but not very well.
Watched an old man take his head off with a shotgun.
Messy.
A 64 year old grandma working night shift in a stop and rob got raped.
A stop and rob shop female employee shot in the mouth.
She lived minus half of her face!
Three riots..............................

The public see's a cop in a nice new cruiser driving around and thinks;
"my tax dollars wasted".
My friend, an Ohio State Patrolman hit by a truck driver and broke
almost every bone in his body.
6 months in the hospital, he never worked again at anything.
Another Trooper on a traffic stop in I-80 hit by a driver
who left the scene and was run over by six 18 wheelers.
Road kill, had to soak his body up with rags.
As karma would have it I caught the driver.
He got ONE year for hit skip.
It was determined the semi-trucks killed the trooper.
Go figger!

I STILL attend at least FIVE A.A. meetings per week to stay sober.
