Plastic has been suspected for a long time to be a 'possible' carcinogen. I try to stick to glass or stainless steel containers as much as possible. We have so many companies making things in the world today that we don't know what they are putting in them or the health consequences of it.

Better yet, try to not buy anything thats made in China. So true and not so innocently either, have you guys seen the stories about RICE from China / Basically dont buy Chinese rice only Indian or Californian because the Chinese have been mixing thousands of tons of plastic that looks just like a grain of rice into rice they sell domestically and overseas.

You're right Mav. It is very hard, near impossible in fact, to get everything you might need made somewhere besides China. I do my best to get as many products as possible Made in the USA. I'm not always successful and I do end up buying some foreign made stuff sometimes. That's almost impossible now days, practically all aspirins are manufactured in china including bayer aspirins and most life saving meds are both manufactured in china and india, india and china are the worlds largest solid/liquid pharmaceutical manufactures and country of origin doesn't have to be listed on the product packaging
Shoes?? Are you kidding? I do agree with you about the electronics though. Reluctantly of course. I also like Chinese food.Naa they do make some good stuff like the Baofeng UV5 Radios millions of us use for HamCOM, Cloths, shoes, electronics, etc
