My wife and I were talking about burying an ounce of silver here and there. Making a treasure map for each one. When the grandkids visit they can go treasure hunting. 🏴‍☠️
That sounds so awesome!!!:woo hoo:
I give 'em 2 visits before one shows up with a metal detector he borrowed.:ghostly:

That is a great idea with the treasure map.
We're planing on buying the grandkids metal detectors for their birthdays.
We've got an old mining camp and stage stop on our property. I was going to bury some old silver coins, without telling the kids, and turn them loose with the detectors.

I confess, I am a turncoat... I like stocks. :(
They send me muuney every 3 months that I can spend, as well as going up in value over time.

Sadly, not long ago MIL passed and hubby inherited part of her IRA, which wasn't a whole lot, but we told our investment manager to transfer the entire amount into a PM fund. He was hesitant to do that but it was well before the election and we wanted to make sure we had some 'paper' PM's too. We're just gonna let that account sit there b/c we don't need it right now, until they make him take RMD's.

As far a physical PM's we don't put all of it in one place. Aside from the stuff down Oak trail, we've got some scattered here and there. And when we go on vacation, we take some silver coins with us just in case.

Diversify! Metals, stocks, ETC.

People who give me trouble about buying gold somehow seem to assume that I have all of my wealth/savings in gold, when in reality it is a small part of my wealth. Granted, much more than the average American has. It is an emergency wealth...in case something happens to my brokerage accounts or to the US dollar.
