Various things ramble

People of the deer author (Farley Mowat)said they ate 5 times a day in the cold and when out hunting they ate 3 times a day and when they ate the 3 times they were starving to death.

Mowat said at that time the govt knew these folks were having huge issues so they supplied him with all these gill nets to hand out even though he tried to tell govt they didnt fish and wouldnt...especially in the winter. He showed them how to use them but during winter times when they needed food the most the ice was 10-12 feet thick.Nobody is chopping through that to set gill nets.

sidenote Mowat wrote the book 'Never Cry Wolf' in 1963 later on in 1983 it was made into a famous movie and its one of my favorite and the best movies ever made...of the same name...Never Cry Wolf !
