Thinking of defending yourself is punishable by fines and or imprisonment.

Crossbows are not particularly complicated. I have a friend whose nephew built a quite credible (and accurate) crossbow in his high school shop class.

I used to watch Parliament on CSPAN years ago and I actually enjoyed it. Blair at the time,.....he was pretty good with his book, sharp fellow. I've not watched it for a while, don't know if it's still broadcast here or not.
