anyone with a watch might not have one after a emp.but yet, mainly if the clock and/or watch has any electronics of any kind..what will you do,if you want to keep up with the time? or keep up with the month date and year?as for me.i won't be to concerned about the time of day to much,if at all.but im thinking that it'd be nice to keep up with the month/date and year.and thats why im thinking of getting a wooden calender where the months and dates can be changed out.

not bothered about time post event but might be nice to keep track of the date, make a mark on a wooden post each morning should do it.

In a post SHTF world, the time of day would become irrelevant, but knowing what month it is would be critical for planting crops. Plant too early and everything could be wiped out with a hard frost. Plant too late and it may not have time to ripen before the fall frost. It would be very easy to make a simple calendar.

i hadnt thought of the garden part of having one.but good idea.pluss i think it'd be nice just to have it to look at,time to time.it dont help going senil by not having one..

we don't plant anything around here until the spring frosts have been and gone, nothing will germinate if the ground is too cold.
