I'd like to offer this as a tribute to Curmudgeon :
[Lyrics]
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Last Friday night went to a 'Blues Jam'- where anyone who can play or sing joins in
1950s, 1960s, some 1970s and old country music are my favorite.
It's a lot better than that narcotics music you young whippersnappers listen to. That stuff'll turn you into a commie!
Yeah. I call it 'rap crap'. In the 1980s and beyond, everything started sounding close to the same. I think the music corporations deliberately ignored unique and distinct singers who were all different and had their own talents to make it easier for them to make money.I agree. Rap Music is the consummate oxymoron. At the risk of sounding like my father, I can't believe the garbage they listen to today.
I remember hearing that same thing back in the 60s and 70s. Turns out that for the most part is music that endures to this day1950s, 1960s, some 1970s and old country music are my favorite.
